Xbox 360 Controller Fix

Hello,

For people who can't play the game with their 360 controller, there is a fix for that.

Just download the program called x360ce (Ya, it's a controller Emulator) drag and drop the file into your DmC folder.

Here an example where you should find the exe of DmC:

(C:\Steam\steamapps\common\DmC Devil May Cry\Binaries\Win32)

The x360ce program has to be in the same folder where the game is located.

Launch the program.

It could ask if you want to create a ''xinput1_3.dll''. Press on the create button and it will auto create the file.

Then your controller will be detected by the x360ce program and will ask if you want to Search automatically for settings or Browse my computer for settings. Press next.

Press finish.

And voila! All done!

ps: I don't know if this works for all controllers, but it works for my 360 controller.

You shouldn't use X360ce with a 360 controller as it should be already mapped with Xinput. DmC worked flawlessly with my old 360 controller and it still rocks with my Xbox One One.

Why are you obliged to do that ?

Well, because my 360 controller couldn't be detected by the game itself, so that's why I had to dl the x360ce program to use it.

Btw, does your folder contain the xinput1_3.dll when you installed DmC via Steam?

Because I installed the game a long time ago, and wanted to test my new 360 controller + I can't remember if the x360ce already added the xinput1_3.dll file.

No. This DLL wasn't there. Are you using a wired Xbox One controller ? Are you on Windows 10 ?

It's a wired Xbox 360 controller and yes I run win 10.
