Is Vergil's Downfall supposed to be this broken?

First things first, I can't find anything about this online, and I'm referring to the PS4 version.

So, the game tells me L2 + X to Angel Boost. However, that doesn't do anything, and that it's actually L1 while in the air and moving forward. Not only that, but the game tells me that R2 + Square is Demon Pull, but no matter what I do or how close I may be, the Demon Pull doesn't work. At all. I tried every other button combo I could think of, and nothing. No glowy or anything. It doesn't help that these issues happen within the FIRST 10 MINUTES OF THE DLC!!!

I legitimately want to cry about this. Did they not test this to make sure it works!??! I've even looked online everywhere I could, and it turns out that NO ONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS ISSUE SO THERE'S NO SOLUTION AS A RESULT!!

I'm out of ideas and just want to scream. Anyone able to help? PLEASE?!??!

Okay, reinstalling seemed to work.

I did an Angel Boost proper.

....right off the edge of a cliff. Eh, easy come, easy go.

I should also probably note that it is entirely possible that switching to Custom controls on accident might have screwed things up. I couldn't go back to Default, though, and I could only press Triangle to reset to default. No idea if that is of any merit.

I actually had the exact issue on ps4 just a second ago. I was freaking out pretty hard lol. Luckily rebooting the game seemed to help. Not really sure what caused the glitch. Weird we had the same issue on two different systems though. (I do also have the game on pc, but never encountered this problem.)
