Before DMC 5 was even considered, series director Hideaki Itsuno really wanted to make a sequel to DmC, Ninja Theory’s take on Capcom’s character action game.
So, what was it that made Capcom change its mind?
“I really wanted to make a DmC: Devil May Cry 2, after the first one,” Itsuno told VG247 at the Tokyo Game Show. “I was really pumped up to do it, and then that didn’t happen. So… when it came time to make a new game, we said, alright, let’s make Devil May Cry 5.
Truth is, right now there is two fan bases of one franchise. No way they can make a game for all fans, so would be cool to see two games, I am sure they have enough money for that.
Fanbase was not confused about sequel of a game that released 11 years ago. If marketing will be done right everything will be ok
You can support idea or not but you prefer to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it.
Yes. I think story and gameplay are great.
As for gameplay, that doesnt apply since you have it already in the new DMC5. So it must be the story, which - fair enough - if you enjoyed it good for you, I just find it surprising, that's all.
