DmC is a reboot that follows the same general idea of "Badass demon killer", but if it was to be put on the overall timeline, it would be set before Dante was even aware of his immortal heritage. Unlike DMC which has a gothic focus and a straightforward story, DmC takes a more "Corporate Apocalypse" tone in a modern world.

I just beat the game and dlc it was an alright game, gameplay was fun and somewhat challenging, There were only two things I didn't like
Dante's character, ♥♥♥♥ I ended up rooting for vergil.
We can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lock on to enemies..... Made getting flying enemies and witches a bigger pain in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass then it supposed to be.

I think it refers to beginning of the sequel. He doesn't know about his twin brother Vergil, and the final game of the sequel is third game i suppose ( i might be wrong ) and the end of that game Dante jumps in his motorcycle and never shows up after that.

You can lock on... In definitive edition... which is not available for pc i don't know WHY.

It could work as a prequel, since it doesn't really stomp on the stories of what happened on previous games. But calling it a reboot with this new sense of style is more correct.

maybe in global lore, but I can see a chronological order being DmC, 3, 1, 4 and 2. Mundus 'revived' in DMC 1 (Trish words), so I assumed he was vanquished in, well, DmC
