The spooky ambiance and the random events that happen around you are superb, but here is some feedback-- some of these I'm sure you're aware of but I will mention just in case.

1. The tutorial needs to be more in-depth. What I mean is, instead of everything being in one room, maybe a very small building (three or four room) would be better. The reason why is so that players can be guided as to know what is important early on in the heist and what should be top priority before anything else (i.e. hack cameras as soon as possible; locate lockers immediately; or something along those lines). Also, setting up certain scenarios to teach the player how to play, I think, is better than just telling. For example, instead of telling us that the power will go out if there are too many lights on, shutting the lights off suddenly and telling us to go find the junction box feels more engaging and letting the player experience "what could happen" before they jump into a real heist.

2. There should be a tutorial on how to deal with the entity specifically. Can I out run it? How do I know that it's coming? Does it make any audio sounds to warn me it's coming? Are there ways to track it? I figured out that the lights will flicker when it's nearby. But that's all the warning I get. Also, the footsteps it makes are very faint until he's right on my tail-- then it's loud. In the game's tutorial, when leaving the building, you get a glimpse of the entity, however, I was disappointed when I was taught nothing to avoid it. Obviously, I know you are supposed to hide, but are there other ways to deal with it?

3. The solo experience is not so great, but only because of the entity. As I am the only person in the building, I have no way of setting up defenses or precautions besides cameras. But for the camera's to be useful, I have to run around the entire building and hack them before the entity spawns in so that I can keep track of him. However, I can't keep my eyes on the camera, because I need to see with the flashlight and hack with the phone. It's very overwhelming for a solo player. This game is made with co-op in mind, but some people, like myself, enjoy games more that are played alone-- using our own knowledge, abilities, and tools given to us to complete a heist. But, like I said, the cameras don't feel like it's enough. Also, I did try to jump into a multiplayer lobby so that I can give the best feedback possible, but I couldn't find any lobbies, and I don't have friends to play with, so most of this feedback is focused on the solo-experience.

4. So far, the only thing you can spend your money on are cosmetics. Do you plan on adding gadgets that we can bring when we go on a heist? KInda like Escape from Tarkov, any thing you bring into a heist, you can lose it all if you die. Here are some gadget ideas I thought of: a Trip Laser Alarm-- place a trip laser across a hallway. And when the entity trips it, your tablet goes off, letting you know where it is, although it doesn't tell you exactly where it's going. Maybe being allowed to have one or two on hand would be enough, but not to where you are over-powered, and maybe they can only be tripped a certain number of times before shutting off completely. Another cool gadget idea could be a Rune Circle-- you place down a rune in a room and an aura surrounds your view, letting you know that you are in the invisible circle, and if the aura disappears then you are outside the circle. The Rune Circle keeps the entity from entering the circle, however the Rune Circle will disappear after a set amount of time has passed and will break; it can only be used once in a heist. And to make sure that players aren't too powerful, you can only bring like 2 or 3 gadgets on a heist, besides the flashlight, phone, and tablet.

5. I read in a post that you plan on adding perks into the game. If so, please, let us be allowed to respec!

6. I don't know if higher difficulty nets the player a higher reward or not. That would great to have, instead challenging yourself for no reason other than being a masochist.

If you made it this far, devs, thank you for taking your time reading this. I'm just one person out of many, and most people may love the game as it is. But don't feel attacked if my feedback came off as harsh. I'm not disappointed in my purchase. The game is great for what it does so far and I look forward to the updates and future content. I've only done five heist on Normal difficulty, and completed only one (and, no, I don't mean the tutorial heist). The game is very hard for a solo and I think some modifiers are needed for solo players.

As for bugs, I'm not great at finding them, but I did catch one. I don't know if it's something the monster can do as an ability or not: sometimes the monster will appear next to me, even with the lights on, but the lights don't flicker. The first time this happened to me, the monster appeared next to me without warning until I heard is growl and he killed me. The second time this happened, he was several feet away. Then he disappeared. Again the lights weren't flickering and I had no idea he was next to me until I heard his growl.

That's all I have to say. Have a nice day!

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

1) The tutorial is of course constantly updated. It is still simple at the moment, because we still want to add many functionalities and systems. So we can first focus on new features, and then expand the tutorial. However, this is a good idea!

2) There is actually an in-game guide on the tablet, there are a few details about the entity and possible hiding places explained!

3) The solo play experience is of course also on our list. With Operations, for example, we've added story content that you tend to read over in co-op just to get to the rewards. But there will definitely be more mechanics that will make it easier and better for a solo player!

4) Of course there will be more ways to spend your money! We are adding more cosmetic content as well as an advanced system for an in-game ecosystem on the computer in the hideout in the future, this includes upgrading the computer for example. In addition, there will be temporary bonuses that you can buy. We are also thinking about special items. Your ideas are also really cool!

5) Thanks for the hint!

6) At a higher difficulty you get more experience points, but we will explain that better in an upcoming update.

Regarding the bug with the entity: We added a wait time, a time when the entity can't do anything, but you can see it. Only when it is "activated" lights etc start flickering. But this is one thing we will keep an eye on all the time to make balance changes, especially for solo players =)

We thank you very much for the detailed feedback and for your support! We wish you many more fun hours with Midnight Heist and stay up to date by joining our Discord server!

Pinky finger cramps! Could desperately use a toggle function for crouch please!

P.S. LOVE the smoothness of this game. The animations, sounds, hacking, drawers, love where this is going so far!

Also as different maps get added in,some smaller ones as a priority would be amazing, so far covering all this distance as a solo player is a bit ouch, larger maps would then be more rewarding for teams xD

Thanks for the feedback! A toggle option for crouching will definitely come! The next map that was announced with the roadmap will be medium in size. But smaller ones are also guaranteed! :D

Loving the game so far! The only meaningful suggestions I have pertain to audio.

1. Please add volume adjustments per player, one of my friends is routinely quieter than others in the game.

2. Add different volume controls for the walkie-talkie and local chat, the walkie is louder and a bit piercing.

3. Everything can be heard on every level. We often are hearing the entity very near us, run to the stairs only to run into the entity on another floor even though it sounded like it was next to us on the other floor.

Then one not so meaningful suggestion: I play Elijah and really want the tall white boots that are only for Luxury, will the clothes be open to other players? :)

Again, having a great time so far!

I feel the daily quest is too much in one go too. Would be great to have smaller but maybe more dailies in one go to compensate, and in more variety.

Maybe find one photo of money. Find one/two black market items. Unlock so many doors. Complete a heist etc etc.

And a few more hiding spaces would be awesome, maybe hiding under desks (though that would be a less safe spot than a locker)? Just seems like the monster has insanely good vision, I was hidden at his back flanks a few times and he still clocked me even though I was technically behind him. Or just my head peaking over a desk

Thanks for the feedback! These things are actually already on our list :D Regarding the skins: Currently it's still too much work from a technical point of view to remove these restrictions, but as soon as more content is available, we can certainly take a closer look!

We will definitely be adjusting the values of the challenges, whether Operations or Daily, as we go along to get more balance for the game!

The entity will get big changes in its behavior. We have decided to add items/perks with future content updates that will make it easier to deal with the entity and may even protect you from it!

I have some feedback I would like to add, I will try to not repeat anything that has already been said, but if that is the case then I do apologize. I played this for almost 9 hours with a friend of mine and we've gone over some of our thoughts and ideas.

1. Personally, I think the best minigames are the ones that the player can control the speed of, just go as fast as possible without having to wait.
Now that changes with the Simon Says one, the one where the computer highlights a number, the player then clicks it and the cycle repeats 4 times. Me and my friend personally hate this one the most since it slows us down and it also feels like it slows down the game. Having to wait every time for the computer to show us what to do, is so much slower and more annoying than every other game where we can start as soon we want. With Simon Says however, it is almost guaranteed that you miss the first one due to the game starting when the pc is hacked, not when it is 'opened' (as in, the player interacts with the screen). it is, in my opinion, an awful minigame due to what I just explained and I'd love to see more one's that don't slow the game down as much.
2. Scrolling buttons reversed. Right now scrolling down goes from item 1-3 and up goes 1-2 (I am referring to the numbers you can press on your keyboard, so 1 - Flashlight, 2 - Phone, 3 - Tablet). When trying to reverse this in the controls menu it works for the first one, but when trying to bind the next button (scrolling in the opposite direction), it gives me the error saying that that button has already been bound. I'd like to see either an option to reverse scrolling or to allow me rebind it manually.
3. Character changes. I am sorry but they look awful, I hate having to look at them. My friend plays with a female character, and they just look like had some sort of plastic surgery or something but it is just inhuman how their faces look.
4. More ways to escape the ghost. Sometimes the ghost just spawns so close by that you have to run away, and the ghost just chases you infinitely for as far as I can tell. Hiding is simple not always an option when you're already running from the ghost and it would be nice if there would be ways to perhaps distract the ghost or temporarily freeze it by flashing it with the camera or something.
5. Numbers are tiny. Me and my friend often have difficulty seeing the tiny numbers everywhere like money and numbers of special stolen items. The worst part though, are the numbers for the safe but it has already been addressed that there will be some sort of zooming ability but just having the ability to increase the size of all numbers would be great.
6. Safes are useless. They give like what, 250? That is barely even worth going for, like, if we find the code and the safe, great, if not, nobody cares. It should have something in there that is worth finding and 125 cash per person when it'd be way faster to search a couple drawers and possibly find more than that, is just not worth it. And aside from that, like I just mentioned, the safe codes are nearly unreadable at times, making the safe just safer to avoid. I'd recommend having some safe-only items in there to sell on the black market or a chance for a lot of cash or just anything.

I really do enjoy this game and I really love the concept that I've been playing, I wish the dev team the best of luck :D

I have some feedback I would like to add.

I'm not sure if the ghost AI is in the works but it is kind of strong that it can still see me behind doors and walls. I don't really like the concept that it always know where you are when it gets close to you. If you have a door or a wall, you should break line of sight. I was basically cheesing the ghost AI by just hopping in and out of locker seeing the AI instantly spotting me while I was watching on the camera. It is kind of.... absurd to see a ghost instantly knows you are there.

It really seems that playing on Nightmare difficulty nets me the very similar rewards as Beginner. While Nightmare can take a lot longer because you have to hide more often thus eating more of your time up. I only managed to beat Nightmare on my second try with my buddy. First try was pretty much solo after my buddy died in the first 2 minutes and almost made it but this came down to a lot of issues.
1) Ghost can spawn on you and you have no fighting chance.
2) Not enough hiding spots so some places are extremely unsafe.
3) As stated earlier, it is kind of absurd the ghost knows where you are at all times unless you are hiding in a locker (even if it was lessen at one point but still pretty bad).
Overall my point is, what is the point of playing Nightmare and getting extremely low rewards when Beginner is just better?

Cash being split with players is fine in my opinion but you get punished for someone dying early, taking a cut of the overall pay and they lose on that cut. Imagine if I did 75% of the work, my friend died early only doing 25% of the work. I lose half of that and he loses part of that cut for his death. It's like I get punished for someone's else death.

As for minigames, these should be better IMO (the only ones I have problems with)
- Simon Says should always highlight the first one because you will never notice it after you finish hacking it. I always have to fail the first one because of this.
- Number Sliding (4 total), it is difficult to slide into place due to mouse DPI settings so you must be precise. I believe this should be changed somehow to make it more friendly to players who have mouse problems.
- keypad ABC/123: I'm sorry but this is kind of ridiculous that I have to memorize the alphabet to the numbering system. This is by far my least favorite minigame. I have a sticky note to denote what letter is to what number and I shouldn't have to do this. This should be reworked into something better without having to sit and think alphabet to number.
- Alignment (3 total to align? i forgot): This is fine for the most part but it could use a minor improvement like not having to be on point. It's the same way as Number sliding minigame as you have to be exact. There should be some leeway when doing this minigame so you don't spend time like "which one did i miss when they all match?"
OVERALL: I believe difficulty can scale with how difficult minigames can be. For example, if you play on Beginner, if you mess up a simon says, it should not fully reset on you. At later difficulties, it should reset like starting Normal difficulty.

Edit:
Maybe add a clear hunt indicator if you are far away from the ghost. I have a hard time figuring out when it is hunting and when it is done hunting. Although, it should be dangerous to not know this. I do like audible cues like the outside door slamming shut signaling the start of the hunt. I know you can hear the outside door unlock when it ends hunt but that only happens if you are super close to it... same for door slamming shut when it's hunting. Pretty cool to have these so far. But could do more?

Also, body blocking can be a real problem......

I have some suggestions for when you are dead (spectate mode) :

- It would be great if we could also see other dead people and talk with them.
- Being able to see where are the others that are still alive would be another good addition (maybe some sort of highlighting of the player though walls or better : the ability to teleport near them.)

I don’t know if I am blind, but I have no idea what Operation Inceptio is. Is it completing all of the missions?

The game is awesome, the gameplay feels good have good mechanics, have good minigames but the monster not that scary dont have so many spooky happenings.
