Dual screen problems
I have 2 monitors set up on my PC, trying to play FS2013 on my main monitor at 1920x1080, but every time I launch it, the game flickers to the point of being unplayable. The only way I can play at the moment is to unplug my second screen, defeating the purpose of my setup.

Anyone have any hints/tips/solutions for this ? Thanks in advance.

1920x1080 is the resolution of my main monitor. that is the one ALL of my other games play on with no problems lol. the resolution of my main screen is the same wether i have a second one plugged in or not.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, Second monitor is a 17" square flatscreen, Main monitor is a 23" widescreen.

I think that is your problem your using 2 different screens

I've had No problems with ANy other game, even Farming simulator 2011 worked with this setup in fullscreen, just FS 2013 doesn't.

I don't know what to tell u when I was using two screens it had something to do with the resolution settings

all I can use is either Windows' own graphics options, which have nothing relevant or AMD VISION Engine Control Center, and that doesn't seem to have much relevance either

I don't know if this will work or not, but go into your video card setup where you select the primary monitor, and put your secondary monitor on the right side of the primary. I have mine set this way, and farm sim works just fine. My secondary monitor just shows the desktop while the primary shows the game. I hope this helps.

@strafer987 This actually worked ! Thank you. The only trouble is that my secondary monitor is physically to the left of my primary, so it gets a little confusing that I have to move my mouse the opposite way to get on the secondary, but that's easily fixed haha. I guess they didn't quite get it right in the coding, so it constantly tries to launch on the left hand side screen O.o Again, thank you :D

You can force the game into Window mode by editing the game.xml file found in Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2013 directory (Windows 7, not sure of the path for other Windows versions, but same place as the save games and mod folders). Just look for <fullscreen>true</fullscreen> line and change true to false. Save and start game, it will now be window mode at whatever resolution you select.
That's how I play it with my 2 monitor set-up.

Thanks for the comment Masher, but I did infact say in an earlier post that I can play in windowed, but I'd rather play in fullscreen only. If you look up to Strafer987's post, this is the solution I am now working with, and I'm very happy with it :D

I don't have this issue and have the same setup as you. Not saying it's your fault, just that it's is particularly with whatever setup you have.

I run the game on one screen and leave the other to watch movies or wtv between harvests.

I have same problem also with an ATI/AMD video card, i have read about solution to uninstall the catalyst control center, therby uninstalling all nessesary drivers and files for using the ATI/AMD settings for the card to work optional.

But nevertheless i tryed and still got black screen with some green and yellow stripes across, playing the music from the game...

Only one time i made it work to some degree, after editing the resolution file for the game setup, but that only got me to the main menu and when i started a game, it was back to black screen with the stripes, and ben so ever since, i have'nt got any sugestions to fix this isue.

But asume that it might be a Nvidia only game, since it dosn't play with ATI/AMD graphic cards.
So I can only hope that steam or someone is caple to fix this isue so everyone can play the game they bought. otherwise money out the drain.

You should not use HDMI for PC monitors, unless you plan on using built in( to the monitor ) speakers. Instead use another DVI cable, or if not available, the VGA. Either way, you are unecessarly compressing the video more than should be and sending audio to a monitor that is not using audio.

The video card is most likely treating the HDMI port as an "ALSO" instead of as an "ADDITION TOO" in regards to signal out. Also, the video card is using more of its resources to now process the audio - recompressing and strippping to match video time signatures. This is not an ideal way to handle the two streams, as I imagine you have speakers/headset and video seperate on your PC.

HDMI is more of a TV thing; thus, leave it for the Televisions.

Dosn't matter since this problem only exists with farming simulator 2013, i havnt had any problems running anything other program or games on my setup using hdmi or dvi. but regardless i just tested if the DVI should work, and result is still the same black screen.

So problem persist, a game software driver isue, not supporting ATI/AMD computer systems,
