What to feed sheep?

What does the Sheep feeding trough accept? Is it only Mixed feed?

you can dry the grass with the tedder and turn it into hay

You get hay by turning cut grass over using a tedder. Then line it up using a windrower. Then collect it via a forage wagon or a bailer. To feed bales to sheep you will need to grind them in a forage mixer.

You can feed hay, grass or silage direct to sheep.

I know that sheep only need grass, but I have bought a field near the sheep farm and now I have an overproduction of grass and I was thinking how I could store this overproduction. any advice?

Well i wouldnt really store the overpruduction id just pick it up in the loading wagon and sell it at that barn at the farm .... or you can just leave it in the loading wagon... i guess.

I thought you could also feed the sheep sillage/hay but it will count the same as grass. So it is a waste of effort.

Never tried it honsetly but grass is all they need so feeding then anything else is yes a waste of time.

You can feed sheep silage, grass, hay or mixed rations. Most efficient method, due to the amount of work taken to create said feed is to feed them fresh grass. Or silage if you have an abundance of it.

If there is currently an over production of grass, you could just buy more sheep. Or on the off harvest, you could use it to make hay bails and transport them to your cow pasture.
