Troubles with mods!!!!!

I am having troubles getting my "mods" to work!! I have unpacked and moved all the zip files to my "mods" folder but only certain ones, mainly the ones from the farm simulator website that are direct installs work or even show up in the list of mods in game. I can not get any that are zip files, even the ones frome the fs web page from the "contest" list to appear at all!! What am I missing or not doing right? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I usually useing mods from this site: http://www.ls2013.com/
90% of them are working, you just copy them to my document/my games/FS 2013/ mods dont need to unzip them

ive used mods from that site as well and having the same issue. i used to play a cracked version of fs13 and never had a problem with ANY of the mods not showing up, but my steam version only certain mods and mainly just the direct install ones from the site work or even appear. all of my mods have been added to the same file directory your reffering too.

hm.. can you give me a link of any mod that's not working for you? I will check it out just post the link in here

I have the same problem with maps. I do the auto download exe. And I can see them in the mod folder but they don't appear in the game. I'm assuming there is stuff I have to unzip in the folder still maybe?

And the IS2013.com hasn't been working for me.

you dont need to unzip anything, only if the zip have inside more zip files, then yes but otherwise no.... I usuallly just download them and from the download folder copy them to mod's and they work... Im not sure why they dont work for you...

lol not all, but most of them^^ mods work perfectly fine lol

did u compleatly remove the crack copy of the game befor installing the steam version? it may be conflicting with the mod folder, or u may be using the wrong mod folder??

What version are you running? Most of the contest mods require beta 2.0

I'm having similar problems with the ursus addon. I downloaded it from steam and it appears in my mod list but there arent any ursus equip. in the store. Anyone know what I did wrong?

Like this guy says. You don't unzip anything, you just put the .zip file straight into your mod folder.

Yes all of the other addons from the site work as they should but they are also direct installs, i seem to only be having issues with the zip files. everything is in my mods folder and not "unzip'd" as it should be but only a select few zip files work or appear in game rather so idk lol
