Cant plant corn and dont know why

As i have moved thought this game, i cant grow corn. I dont have that option in my seed list. Is there a mod i have to download to grow corn??? Any help please. Old Dog

Pressing the "o" key for seeder should cycle threw the different seeds... Have to select the seeder on the tractor, little box on the back of tractor pic should cycle threw the front, tractor, and the seeder or whatever is attached to tractor..

you have to have a certain seeder for corn, look in the shop and read what each seeder does

Amazone EDX 6000 is the only one that sows corn and beet.
Grimme GL 420 and 660 are used for planting potatos.

As JCQI says, the AMAZONE EDX 6000 is the only seeder capable of planting corn, it's also pricey so you'll have a ways to go in order to start growing corn. Also, harvesting corn will take you a while, only one harvester is capable of harvesting corn, using a corn header (the name escapes me currently but it's the largest Deutz-Fahr harvester, the Krone harvester (yellow one) is exclusively for making silage.

You can buy the Pottinger MEX 6, you'll be able to harvest corn silage which you can ferment at the BGA and sell but you cannot harvest corn itself without the combine and the specific corn header. Corn is a 'high tier' crop, you have to have earnt some serious coin in order to be able to grow, harvest and sell it in quantities capable of getting you a tidy profit... Just my 2 cents.

There are also plenty of modded seeders with the capability to seed corn ( there is usually a small description in the shop menu which tells you what crops each seeder is used for ).... but like has been pointed out its expensive to get all the necessary equipment to make full use of corn as a profit crop !!!

Actually the Deutz Corn Cutter will fit all harvesters and actually be workable on most of them...

I just tried the Fahr, Deutz 5465 & 6095 and also a JD MOD (JD2058SetV2.zip) and they all seem to work fine. ;)

OK, further to my trials, the Claas Lexion 770 TerraTrac MOD doesn't pick up the JD 2058 Cutter...but it DOES look very silly with a Fahr M66 Cutter on the front! :D

And if you like the retro look and older style equipment, then try the Corn Cutter from the JD pack on your trusty ole' Fahr combine! they match in colour and aging very well, IMO!

ok, purchased the amazone 6000 and it still will not give me the option to put corn in the planter. Is there a modd i have to get (seed pallet) with corn on it. I have tried to look at my pallets and I dont see corn on them, just the basic wheat, colona, barley, grass. What am I doing wrong. Please help again.

no corn isnt grass ... its the long stalkie stuff ... when you cut it with the forager its called maize ( the stuff you use for the cows ) but when you harvest it with a combine you get "corn".

Really, ya think, grow up on a farm kind of know what corn, maize, wheat is. Just cant find the dam corn in the game. I see it on the seed pallet but it will not give me the option to put it in my new expensive planter. lol

presumed you didnt know since you asked was the corn the grass :S

You should just pull up beside the seed pallets and press R to refill the seeder ... make sure the seeder is the selected tool "G" ... then press O to choose crop type ... that seeder should have beets and corn as its seed types.

If that doesnt work i'm at a bit of a loss :S

Unless your playing a modded map which might have different trigger setups ( but doubtful )

I haven't seen a difference in the seed type when filling a seeder, I only see it when I choose to seed at the field.. As long as you have some seed in seeder, you can choose between then at the site to seed , not at the pallet... Anyway thats what I see in my games.... Ofcourse I have over 500 mods in game and one may be effecting it... Found that to be true with the helper using seed and fuel from one of the mods...
