Best Mods
So I recently discovered the course play mod and it is AMAZING. It really cuts down on the boring tasks like having to follow combines with a tipper or even mow and bale hay and straw. It took the game to a whole new level of enjoyment for me.

Anyways, since I have been liking course play so much I was wondering if others had recommendations for good mods to get for FS2013. Course play and ESLimiter are the only mods I have really used. I would love some ideas for other mods to try, or ones that people really like.

Hey mate, glad you have discovered the joys of mods! Everyone will tell you different "Best mods" but its all just personal preference, personally i like the New Holland Clayson M135 - its a very good starter combine compared to the one the game gives - here is the link= http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/29242

One note on Courseplay, when you generate a field be careful if you have waypoints set to "show all" as if you have a large field set a 2m rows etc then all the egg markers can crash your game (i had close to 10,000 eggs!) only happened twice before i worked out thats what it was haha.

FS-UK is a great website to find mods - just select your category and choose Farming Simulator 2013 from the game selection, download links are available for all mods there =)

Best of luck mate!

Another thing about Mods, some will really mess up your savegames..... I use autosave and still the bad Mods mess with them...

yes as Ewana mentioned some badly done mods will muck up your save games..i suggest you keep a savegame separate for testing your new mods against current mods you have (and just to see if you like them) but be aware some mods CAN muck up all your save games in one go..just use reputable download sites which test mods for you which will lower the risk a bit

Also, when adding mods, dont add a whole bunch at a time. Add one & play the game to see how it works as far as graphics, controls & so on. That way if you run into a problem, you know which mod is causing it. Then exit the game & check your log file for errors pertaining to that mod. As stated above, there are some really great mods out there, but some are just poorly revamped 2011 mods with lots of errors. FS-UK tests all there mods & I think is one of the best places to download from. Plus, each mod there auotmaticlly generates a support topic so if you do have a problem, you can see if others who downloaded it are also.

Regards,
Steve
