Shader 3.0 help

Hi all,
I know this is like the umpteenth thread of similar topic, but I tried a lot of suggestions to fix the following:
"error: could not init 3D system shader model 3.0 is required please install the latest video drivers" and still can't run Farming SImulator 2013

Running windows xp, Direct X 9.0c, nvidia GeForce 440 GT (I have the latest driver - 331.82) and my .net Framework is 4.0 so I'm wondering what I'm missing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Please open Documents then the folder My Games and delete the folder FarmingSimulator2013.

Actually I don't think the 440 supports shader model 3.0. might be time to get a new video card, I'm using a 560 and it handles FS 2013 just fine.

Actually I don't think the 440 supports shader model 3.0. might be time to get a new video card, I'm using a 560 and it handles FS 2013 just fine.

Thanks, but supposedly, the 440 supports up to shader model 5.0 http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-geforce-gt-440-oem-us.html

I should note that I've been playing a few games like Tropico 3, which requires shader 3.0, so I'm really puzzled as to why I'd get this error.

Just a tip from a sim fangirl, reinstall the game but make sure to backup your savegame o:

Do you have Farming Simulator 2013 only or Farming Simulator 2013 Titanium Edition?

Please check that you have the latest game version (2.0.0.9):

Click Library.
Right click Farming Simulator 2013 and click Properties.
Click the tab Local Files then click the button Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Otherwise, please update Microsoft DirectX:

Open your folder Steam.
Open the folders SteamApps, common, Farming Simulator 2013 then dxsetup.
Run the application DXSETUP (or DXSETUP.exe).
Follow the instructions.
Then run the game.

I bought Titanium Edition. I verified everything and I ran DXsetup. Still no go. Think we can take this to PM?

FIXED MINE.. After a Op system upgrade to IE7 Professional from XP, I got the same message. Finally did Update to windows 7 and it installed the required stuff. If you run Windows 7, it needs Service Pack 1.. (SP1) tag on your system information. After the update, it syncrized for about 20 minutes from cloud and Now I am playing again.
