Mixing station mod
I have the mixing station mod and i cant get anything to come out. All four items by the control panel say 100% and the light it yellow. I've bought many different tippers and none of them will fill up. Anybody have any advise?

The tipper will have to accept Mixed Ration, none of the default ingame ones do that, you NEED a modded one. Though I cannot point you in the direction of one. :-)

I used this one with the mixing station and really like it:
http://gamesmods.net/farming-simulator-2013/fs13-trailers/fs13-tipper-grain-trailers/32133-imt-gilbert-1800-pro-multifruit.html

I recently just started using both mods two days ago. The new titanium map just throws WAY too much material at you to do handle it with the stock gear (and not go crazy). I wish everything were price balanced better. A machine as fancy as an automated mixing station should probably cost in the high six-figure to several million.

I have found three mixing stations are good for several thousand cows. I planted grass in the largest fields to develop enough hay and silage to keep them going (grass is the best). In the smaller fields I run grains for the straw. The overall income from the grain itself is inperceptably low.

My general workflow:
1) Sell all the starter gear. Buy a mower and forage wagon.
2) Mow, mow, mow.
3) Do a few missions to speed things up.
4) Silage to the BGA. Profit.
5) Wind Generators.
6) Keep running the BGA until the daily profit falls below 50% of what the Wind Generators do (I think it was around $4M/day).
7) Focus just on Wind Generators. Build 100-500 (to suit your taste and difficulty).
8) Time to retire!
9) Now time for fun. Cows, grains, taters, sheep, and farming at large scales. :)

the next question, I hate all the manure that piles up constantly. Is there a better way to get rid of it rather than the little manure spreader?

Are you giving your cows straw for bedding?
Pretty sure that's why you're getting manure.
They'll still make slurry no matter what.

Yes I am giving them straw. If I stop, will they still be at 100% productivity? And will the manure go away?

I think they will quit crapping, but I also think you do lose some productivity. Of course, you'll still have to use up what's already in the poop bin.

You can also modify any trailer to accept mixed ration. It is possible to make it so it is properly animated, but you can also just use one of the grainplanes from one of the crops. In the XML it needs to have mixed ration as an accepted fruit type.

Just want to make one comment on djhomann2005 comment. YOu can make any trailer into a mixed ration trailer. But you need to edit the xml file to acced compoundfeed (not mix ration). Also need to go into the GE and add the grainplane to the trailer as well.

Thanks for the correction. I was away from my gaming computer and couldn't remember the proper XML term. To save the trouble of editing in GE, though, I have just attached a grainplane that already is set up for the mod to the compoundfeed (such as wheat). It doesn't look right, but it is functional. A possibility for people who are uncomfortable editing stuff in GE.

Or, if you find a trailer mod that accepts mixed rations, sorry. compoundfeed and add the texture to the trailer you want to mod. That can start getting complicated for some though. It's not as easy as just dropping the texure file in the mod & your done.
