I've made damn near as much money doing mowing missions with the Unimog 1600 and attaching a Kuhn PZ 280 mower to the front and Kuhn PZ 960 dual mowers to the rear as I have with 5 fields of crops and a few chickens. I really like the Unimog 1600 and the MB 1800 Intercooled.

Aside from that, must haves? I've mostly downloaded a better selection of combines, tractors, and seeders. I'm almost ready to get into haying and downloading some balers.

I agree....loads of great mods on FS-UK....all free, I think, and easy to download.....even for slow coaches like me.
The mod link at the start of the game offers some worthy mods.....plenty to chose from.

The Ursus pack is worth a look....great tractors all round and cheap for poor farmers ! I use the Usrsus front loader as 'my' tractor as it'll do any job I need with 150 hp for 87.000....not bad.

Some of the baler mods are worth a look as it's a bit hard to get a nice matching set from the standard game.

Also have a look at the trailer mods......there's a few nice company packs which ends up giving you a massive selection if you download a couple of them.

Have fun choosing....at the end of the day they are free to download and you don't have to buy anything in the machinery shop that doesn't apply to you farming style.....but you might want to to so in another game.

In my oppinion the best mod is the "More Realistic Mod". This one adds a whole new physic engine to the game and also adjust prices (seeds is much more expensive, fule cost more, fertilizer is very expensive and so on). For me I started to play FS13 with this mod. Without I have played 30 min and I didn't like it.

You will have to get all new vehicles with the mod, because they have to be adjusted for the new physics, but nearly all are allready converted (look for "mr" in description).

If you want a much more realistic gameplay try the more realistic mod!

Cheers!

Here are my must have scripts:
- Hirable tools (allows multiple seeders ect to work a field)
- ESLimiter (adjust cruise speeds)
- Courseplay (of course this is a must have)
- FollowMe (great for moving vehicles from field to field or for easy haying jobs)
- Load Status (lets you see how your other vehicles are doing)
- GPS (great for going straight)

Great scripts but not must haves:
- show hired workers on PDA map (nice to see where they all are)
- Vehicle group switcher (handy when you are getting a lot of vehicles)
- Work Throttle (realistic sound when tractor is working)
- MischStation (this is a mixing station for rations for cattle)
- MixerWagonBaleGrab (this makes it so you don't have to fight loading bales into the mixing wagon)

My favorite vehicles ect:
- ATV (this goes really fast, so great way to zip around and purchase fields)
- Giants free DLC classics pack (really want it for Super 1500 TVL Special, which is a great cheap tractor)
- AmazoneCondor15001withFert (this is the Amazone 15001 but also includes fertilizer like real life)
- Cat flatbed (great for hauling lots of bales, auto-loads)
- JM gravity wagons (this is a nice set of tippers that are great early in the game, can be chained)
- KrampeBS_680_900_Pup_Pack (this is remake of the stock trailer that can be put in a long chain, I made some changes to mine to fit my taste)
- TelehandlerConveyor (this one is great for loading silage into a trailer or dumping spuds w/o having to back in)

So this was going to be a short post but I have a lot of favorite mods. My folder is really full but these are my must haves.

I have found these to be extremely helpful as I prefer large maps;

Titanium Add-on “mod”- Case 7130 capacity is 42500L, Case 9230s are increased to 50000L

Amazone Condor 15001 – both seeds and fertilizes

Cornhusker 51-Foot Hopper Trailer Version 2: capacity = 70792
http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/32551

Barber mother bin set. The Barber mother bins hold from 55 ton right up the the large 110 ton

For multiplay maps when farmers may wish to keep their crops separate;

Aherns/sherwell field bin  - These can be easily modded to any capacity – I have a set modded to 500K to act as easy storage on MP maps prior to sale without having to pool into the silos
