Has anyone tried the new Forestry Mod?

I have loads of questions. Please please please tell me you can cut down pre-existing trees instead of just the ones you plant!! What do I do with the logs? Woodchips? And what about maps that dont have mills on them like Westbridge Hills or Hagenwhatever.

You can only cut down ones you plant.

You can sell the logs whole at a mill or chip them and sell at a power plant for less. I believe you can get placeable objects to sell them with the mod. I honestly took the mod out as I found it more frustrating than fun. If you enjoy putting wool pallets on a trailer with a front loader then you'll like it.

Maybe if there was something like the transport professionals mod that has a script that sucks up the wool pallets automatically for the logs I would do it but working that friggen crane just takes way too damn long per log to make it worth anything.

I'd imagine in FS15 with it incorporated in the base game the controls will be improved to be less frustrating... at least that is what I hope

I dont use the cranes or the chipper i use the games stock front loader (the smallest one) with the wood claw seems to work the best for me yes you get placeable items with the mod i have found a cage mod for the weidman loader on mod hoster that makes it look cool You can use the forestry mod on any map ( i have not found one yet that it doesnt work on) but keep in mind that if you plant alot of trees it may cause lag any more question ask away

sorry i know im not helping you out im just going to post a question in a question. how did you download the mod? what website? do you play on pc? ive tried downloading it but it just doesnt work. please help me!
