Is it possible to turn off online mode?

Since the servers have now been shut down, the online portion of the game is never going to work again, but the game still keeps trying to connect every 5 minutes, and on top of that interrupts gameplay with a dialog, which is annoying.

Is there any way to turn that off and keep the game from ever trying to connect so I can at least enjoy the single player experience uninterrupted?

You can use this, https://www.nexusmods.com/farcry3/mods/276, or incase u paranoid its not safe, u can patch it yourself with hex editor

all ya need to do it open ubi connect and switch to offline mode

SP works perfect here

STEP 1 open ubi connect

STEP 2 click on your ubi name in the upper right

Step 3 select go offline

STEP 4 = launch your game

yes you will see a short message the far cry 3 the service is unavailable // click ok play your game

Didn't work for me. Or rather, it's the message I want to get rid of.

EDIT: that worked! The game did crash on startup the first time I launched it, so thanks for whatever virus I have on my system now I guess (;->), but on my second attempt, it did launch fine and the annoying popups are gone.

Now if I could only do something about those regular crashes that seem to happen every 20 or 30 minutes of playtime, it would be perfect. Yes, I've seen the guides about that recommending enabling compatibility mode (tried that, game simply won't launch at all), or disabling multithreaded rendering on DX11 (was already off when I opened my config).

that because the game have memory limit, you can use a program called "Large Aware Address" find it on techpowerup site, just aim to the farcry3_d3d11.exe and farcry3.exe and give a tick on "Large Address Aware Flag" and click save or if you want more detailed step can use a program called "CFF Explorer", with that you can use multithreaded rendering without any issue or its gave more time before crash atleast rather than everytime 20/30min, this trick not exist on any guide right ? more detail what is Large Address Aware can be found on Microsoft Site
