Lost a 600+ hr investment because of that, and had to restart from scratch.
- Hope you can get it running again

So I guess I keep digging haha.
Hey! You shouldn't need to do this - I'm sorry the game is stuttering so much. Could you please run through the steps in {LINK REMOVED}this FAQ, and let us know if this helps at all?

Does this error code ring any bells? 0xc0000005
I've been getting this every time I try to launch FC3 outside of compatability mode. I've been looking around on the internet for a solution but nothing yet.

reinstall DX run times as well as the ones for VC redist
Thanks for opening up a support ticket, EwokQua. Would you be able to share your ticket number with us so we can take a closer look at what troubleshooting has been suggested?
Were you able to try the steps suggested by Ubi_Spud? In particular, I would recommend disabling background applications[support.ubisoft.com], as these could be conflicting with the game files.
If you haven't already, could you also try disabling the Ubisoft Connect overlay[support.ubisoft.com], as I've seen this help other players encountering the error code 0xc0000005.
If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to update this thread.
-=SOF=-WID99 - Thanks for suggesting to update supporting software!

I have a solid feeling that Ubisoft cares 0% about keeping their games running. I have yet to encounter more insulting service than that offered by Ubisoft.
Oh, by the way, they're 2 years overdue on getting back to me on 3 different hard crash games.
Far Cry 3
AC: Valhalla
Division 2
Ubisoft seems to know the games don't run, but they also know they have your money, and that's when they stop caring.
Hi jesusofchicago,
Apologies for the late response. I'm also sorry to hear that Far Cry 3, as well as AC Valhalla and The Division 2 keep crashing.
Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting in the link below and go through any of the steps you may not have tried, then try again:
https://ubi.li/x17TX
However, if the issue persists I would recommend trying each of the following:
- Ensure your game is running on a dedicated GPU rather than an integrated GPU - https://ubi.li/q0hCX
- Clear Ubisoft Connect cache - https://ubi.li/uNKwr
- Launch the game in Windows compatibility mode if you are using Windows 11 - https://ubi.li/h0VCZ
- Perform a SFC scan - https://ubi.li/gCxN0 (Win 10 & Below) https://ubi.li/OYBuj (Windows 10 & 11)
- Unplug non-essential peripherals (extra monitors, controllers, VR equipment, etc.)
- Reinstall the support software - https://ubi.li/s9Zj3
- Uninstall the game and Ubisoft Connect, then reinstall them on the same drive as your OS - https://ubi.li/cf8hs
If those steps do not help could you please create a new post and confirm your PC specifications.
I will now lock this thread as it is quite old.
