Fps problem/ low gpu and cpu usage 40%
I have an rtx 2060 with a ryzen 2600x cpu and when i try to play, this game is only using 40% of my gpu and 80% of my cpu does anybody know a fix for this.
I have to mention that is not a thermal problem because i play doom eternal on max settings and i get more fps then in this game.

I found something else today, when i look at the sky i got like 200 fps and my gpu usage is at 75%, you are right about the port issue, but is there no way to fix it?

This fixed it on my ryzen 3900 -

Go to My Documents -> My Games -> Far Cry 3
Edit the file called GamerProfile.xml
Change:
D3D11MultithreadedRendering="0"
to
D3D11MultithreadedRendering="1"

Fire up FC3 and make sure you have DX11 enabled in the graphics settings.
This took me from 20fps to 80fps on ultra settings on my 1070.

Maybe you wanna try this https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/ , afaik this happpend when game reached memory limit , this will allowed game use more memory above 1GB , peak when i use this is 2GB-2.5GB when game on ultra graphical preset and 1.5GB on all low graphical preset, no matter how big RAM the system have , the game will use around 1GB-1.5GB *alteast what i notice, but with this will allowed more than the game allowed , since its 32bit exe so max is 4GB after applied the flag on the game .exe

It mainly is the port like others said.
5900k and 3080 ti suprim x here. I get anywhere from 80-250+ fps depending on the area.
All temps under 70 and usage is around 40% on everything.

wow even 3080ti can't hold this game properly lol, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq72gw0YMZI&t=99s this gyt is playing with a 980 and he is getting more fps then us lol, i think old gpu's and cpu's work better on this game

Not sure it entirely depends on the architecture but it certainly plays a role. I remember getting 60-80 fps with my old system all on ultra. OCed the crap out of my skylake (6700k) and 980 ti.
My msi 980ti ran at 91 degrees for years lmao, beast of a card i bought, still have.
I could force the suprim x with afterburner but i'm kinda hesitant with an old game like fc3.
It's somewhat uncharted territory and i don't wanna brick an 1800 buck card.

Edit: Yes it's unlikely, especially for older games but iirc there was some kind of malfunction in the past months where a game literally melted evga MBs (iirc)

Yeah, i heard about the New World game it's very sad. I have tried to oc my gpu and nothing i think for you will be the same. But i find some way on making the game run better, at least on my ryzen, if you know what your best cores are on your processor, select them, preferably just 4 of them, it got my like 24 fps boost, the gpu usage is still trash but the fps is much better you could try it if you didn't

Do you know the MSI mode on for the gpu, did you activated it?
BiggusDickus Aug 8, 2021 @ 3:44pm
Did the multithrededrendering mod from 0 to 1, DX11, 3080, and it black screens in game. I can Esc to the menu and it shows up fine, return to game and black screen. Changed it back to zero, GPU utilisation still down at 40%. Meh.
Krampus Aug 9, 2021 @ 12:44am
V-sync and GPU frame buffer to 1 frame and go full screen.
Utilization across the board is still at 40% but i average around 200 fos instead of 80 lmao.
For the other guy msi mode is pre-enabled for me, didn't try going line based yet, maybe later when i have time.
