It really isn't as complex as it sounds. All you need to do is extract a few files, combine them, zip them back up, and cop yand paste.
the problem is the tutorials arent' written very well, I think.
I might try writing a more user friendly version at some point.
I beat the game and the civilians are just there. May as well put them to use.
http://farcry.nexusmods.com/mods/10
everyone says to put files in entitiylibrary/player/MainCharacter
Only problem is, I have no idea wtf I am doing.. Anyone who reads this and knows how to help, add me ;)
There are active enemies still left at several locations. - I suggest reactivating all the
outposts - decide which you want to clear and in what order and then planning your
tactics / approach for each one.
I've done it a dozen times - makes the Rook Islands an ever changing landscape of
hostile and friendly terratories.
Only - Great ! - Thanks Zakalwe. I just found s few things that I've always wanted,
Holster weapon and stop the damned Blinking Objects. (( Codes list below ))
I think that I finialy have the game the way I've always wanted it. - MUCH appreciated.

For anyone who might feal uneasy about trying this - let me set your mind at ease:
Working with HxD (Hex Editor) is the easiest quick fix for many particular
individual elements of the FC 3 experience.
Once you've saved a copy of your original file it's as easy as 1 2 3
First -
Get HxD here:
http://www.mh-nexus.de
You can pick and choose excatly what you want to change.
The hex editor works exactly like any text editor.
Locate your DLL file:
for UPLAY purchase
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry 3\bin ***
If you are running the game with DirectX 11, open
\bin\FC3_d3d11.DLL in your game installation folder
(eg. Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 3\bin)
Back up the .dll file: (copy to: C:/ 'directory of your choice' )
->>Remember this address <<- It is your only fix if things go arye
Edit the file:
1 ) - Just open up HxD and drop your original file into the HxD window.
2 ) - Copy and paste any of the codes you find in that mod page into the
search panel of HxD run the search and replace the found codes with
your moded code.
3 ) - Now just save the file and run the game.
4 - Congratulations - You've just modded the game.
Here are a few you can try:
Holster Weapon
Locate:
06 00 83 7E 40 01 75 04
Replace with:
06 00 83 7E 40 00 75 04
Stop the damned Blinking Objects:
Locate:
48 69 67 68 4C 69 67 68 74 43 6F 6C 6F 72 32 00 48 69 67 68 4C 69 67 68 74 43 6F 6C 6F 72 00
Replace with:
48 69 67 68 4C 69 67 68 74 43 6F 6C 6F 72 00 00 48 69 67 68 4C 69 67 68 74 43 6F 6C 6F 72 32
Remove HUD (includes minimap)
Search for "showuielement"
In the next few lines, you will see S.h.o.w.U.I.E.l.e.m.e.n.t.
Replace the S.h.o.w.U.I.E.l.e.m.e.n.t. with H.i.d.e.U.I.E.l.e.m.e.n.t.
To remove all intrusive sounds, copy and paste each sound item from the list below
into your HEX editor and search for TEXT, then replace the HEX value for the text
with zeros.

Save this newly fixed DLL and run the game.
(( I have an odd but harmless glitch with the remove HUD change.
When I die or load up the game the hud doesn't dissappear untill
I use the weapons shop. ???
Might just be happening on my system - I have a slightly unusual setup.))
Hope this helps.
