Ok.. I'm feeling the bugs now. Need a fix Ubisoft.

I have supported this game a couple times here since I was experiencing absolutely no bugs with a cracked copy I downloaded. (I did this because since far cry 1/2 were crap I didn't want to dish another $60, I'd rather pay a monthly bill). I bought it about 3 days ago and here is my story. (In my opinion the game is still amazing, there is no reason to talk down just because of a few bugs. I just hope they get fixed)

I am experiencing crashs/pauses at total random times during multiplayer. Singleplayer seems to work fine with no issue. If your experiencing constant crashing that is due to your graphics driver being to old, after I updated I didn't have that issue anymore. Still, in a blue moon, I will get a random crash in singleplayer (I've only had two thus far with 10+ hours in). Alt+Tab seems to be working great since I can alt+tab during loading and still be in the game.

It would be nice if Ubi told us to update our drivers for graphics cards at the beginning and they NEED dedicated servers... CoD is the only game that works without it since its community supports it but for every other its a mandatory factor. The reason I bring up CoD is since every company thinks its a good idea to copy other recent games = (first world fail problems).

Since my graphics card can only support DX9 even though it can do more I can only run 9.. stupid Nvidia. Here are my spec's.

GTX295 2GB
8GB DDR3
AMD I7 3.2ghz
Win 7 64-bit


- Word of advice, don't run this game in Windows 8. Like any new OS you should wait a few months or install the just before release i.e Win7. Don't expect perfection on things that were released before an entirely new OS.

idk i bought it few days ago i have 0 problems and no bugs that i see. i ve been having nothing but positive experience

That's exactly what I want every player to experience since this game is so amazing. Then you have every player who is so quick to judge on any bug they see.

I do not put down this game since its probably my #2 of all time favorite games even besides the bugs. Even if there were more bugs. #1 being CS :P

Maybe one of my parts don't work properly or possibly my 6mb connection? But Ubi should take this all into factor. Still no disrespect for the game.. whoever wrote it and coded it - kudos to them.

You might also want to upgrade your GPU. the 200 line is dated. I just jumped from a 400 series to the 680 and must say it is well worth the investment

Is it really necessary to start off by telling everyone that you pirated the game in this day and age? It distracts from the question you are asking, offers no useful information, and frankly polarizes readers before they even see what you are complaining about. There was a time when dropping an old 'arrr' into a post made you more l33t or whatever, but I somehow think those days have long passed.

My bad I forgot to say that the crack actually worked with no issues, not a single crash.

I have put everything to low/medium for about an hour of play. I couldn't stand how different it looked to higher settings I was using so I wouldn't want to play in those settings. I get no FPS issues on very high/ultra.

Doesn't polarize me. In fact I quite liked reading about the pirated version having no issues as compare to the retail version which is full of problems heh. Hell even the XBOX gamers are complaining of issues so I'm not surprised. As a bad console port this game definantly ranks high on the try before you buy list.
