Far Cry 3 or Just Cause 2?
Which would you say is more fun and open-world?

Good question. Both games have so many amazing aspects to them!

Sneaking around taking over camps in FC3, finding a nice mountain to glide down, laughing at all the pirates and their burning urinal urethra's. Also a fun story and pretty graphics.

I'd say Just Cause 2 due to the replay value and ability to grapple throw enemies off tall buildings while gliding down with them to watch them bounce. Hah. There is so much chaos to be had, and the grappling hook makes any situation seem more genuine. Add a multiple rope/strong rope mod and it's great fun. To this day, I still enjoy throwing on a podcast and losing myself in the pretty islands of Panau.

The real question is, when are they going to make a Far Cry 3 mod that adds the grappling hook and recastable parachute into our arsenal? A boy can dream...

I'd personally recommend Farcry 3, but I agree that both are good though...

I'd say Far Cry 3. I've played both of them and Just Cause 2 just wasnt as fun. Just Cause 2 also was set up horribly in my opinion like some xamples are that you need to destroy stuff just to be able to accept a mission. Far Cry 3 was far more amazing and also became one of my favorite games of all time

Far Cry 3, nothing to discuss haha.

Pretty weak arguments to defend Far Cry 3. I've never played either of these games but from what the fans have told me from both sides, Just Cause 2 seems to be the better game. Thanks for taking your time to respond.

neither... bought both games from steam and neither one will run... farcry 3 says invalid CDKey... Just Cause says it's not installed properly and to reinstall... know you're not asking but just to show how bad this company is AC3 has no character voices... 9 tickets in all over the last 2 weeks... two replies both sending me else where...

I guess it comes down to personal preferences but I got really frustrated with Far Cry 3, shooting a pirate in the belly from 5 meters with an AK47 about fifteen times and still he manages to crawl up and shoot me? What? Come on! That and heaps of bugs and having to craft stuff and grind took away all of the fun for me. Just Cause 2 on the other hand, wow, that was fun from the start, never mind the story. When I feel like playing a bit I pick a town to "liberate", hijack a chopper with a lot of firepower and have a blast. Never mind the story, there is enough mayheym to cause without that. Also there is no bullet resistant wildlife in JC2. And when you kill all of the soldiers in a fortress they are dead... forever! No lame ass respawing when you go 20 meters away.

I love both games and have well over 100 hours in each, although more hours in Just Cause 2, but simply because it's been out longer.
So my answer is 'both'. :D

It's hard to say one is better than the other, considering they're both very different games, with very different features and game mechanics, but I'd say FC 3 for people who prefer to explore and plan out attacks, and JC 2 for people who prefer lots of fast action and explosive carnage. :D

They're both completely open world, although without checking, I think the JC 2 world might be larger.

I enjoy both games. Far Cry 3 of it's combat, exploration and so on. Just Cause 2 because it's funny, grapple hooking stuff together.

Yeah, JC 2 is loaded with the same type of silliness and tongue-in-cheek humor that Far Cry 1 had in abundance.
FC 3 has some humor in it, certainly it's far more light-hearted than Far Cry 2 in places, but JC 2 doesn't even try to take itself seriously.
