- temperatures okay (CPU 35-45°C, GPU 70-80°C)
- tried running in compatibility mode(xp,vista,7) - not sure if the program tries to disable visual themes (trying that again)
- reduced the GPU clock to stock(factory oc).
- tried a different GamerProfile
- tried disabling overlays(steam,uplay,fraps,curse)
- disabled multithreaded rendering
- I'm running up-to-date drivers
- Then I've found what so many others have found with AC and this game: An xaudio2_7.dll error (found via windows eventlog) - tried reinstalling audio drivers and of course directx.
My system: Windows 10@64bit, Intel i5 4690, MSI GTX560 hawk(factory oc), MSI G55 SLI, 8GB ram.
But all I get is crap support.
Far Cry 3 crash every 15 minutes because XAudio2_7.dll_unloaded compatibility issues on Windows 10
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/games_windows_10/far-cry-3-crash-every-15-minutes-because/e0637a81-f3fc-41d3-adc2-6e3c6d81ee37
Already searching for this problem in another game like Assassin's Creed Unity.
Which is already found the solution remove/rename the XAudio2_7.dll from SysWOW64.
But in Far Cry 3 if we remove/rename the XAudio2_7.dll from SysWOW64 the sound disappear in game but not in Assassin's Creed Unity.
I strongly guess its the compatibility issues on Windows 10 because after I update from windows 8 that's when the problem starts coming.

got my drivers here

Yeah, I have latest drivers. I don't think my particular issues are sound related, but I guess it's still possible. The errors appear to be coming from D3D10 and D3D11.dll, even after disabling multi-threading in the GamerProfile XML. I've also tried running the game in DX9 mode and it still crashes. All files (Uplay, Steam, FC3) are installed in the default system directories.
Asus Z97-a
4790k stock
16 GB ram
Titan X stock
I have tried many solutions, but none seem to work.
Reinstalled on C drive
Reinstalled Uplay
Clean install Nvidia Drivers 355.82
Tried DX9 version, played on low settings,
Disabled Steam overlay,
Disabled afterburner,
Disabled MultithreadedRendering
Tested RAM (16GB)
Uninstalled virus scanner
Underclocked GPU
my log file shows:

I already did and it's useless :|
Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit (clean install) on PNY SSD drives
games are on Drive E in my steam folder , Windows and U Play are on Drive C
Intel Q6600
ASUS motherboard - P5 B
8 gig of Kingston DDR 2 = 800
Asus Strix GTX 960 (used the 355. 82 drivers + the windows 8 64 bit 347.52's as they work in Windows 10 just fine for me)
sound = SB live 24 bit with the latest creative drivers
Did you deactivate your onboard sound in the bios or something like that? I tried deactivating the soundcard in windows and that did not work out.
I have a Creative Sound Blaster Z (on current drivers).
the SB live card sounds better to me anyway
Then it's probably not the onboard chip. I disabled the chip in bios, and even did a creative driver reinstall(creative drivers are the worst). Did not solve the problem.
It's more likely related to your directx setup, then. Which might be a good thing, maybe a clean reinstall and installing the libraries in order (as described in the ubisoft forums to this) might solve it. Not that I will try that. With the new uplay update (just now) it got even worse. I think I'll get rid of that ad infestation and buy something else. Hope it goes well for you guys.
*sigh* .. don't buy ubisoft games.
OT: Sure the creative card sounds better, but my microphones all seem to quiet with the card, so I used the onboard chip for recording.
i always keep my onboard sound off in Bios as really MY SB live card just seems to have a better sound then the onboard sound my motherboard has
first i used to have Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit , i ran the upgrade for win 10 .. it gave me win 10 Pro 64 bit and updated my GPU driver to 353.30
i got sick of my slow old WD drive so i bought and installed 2 PNY ssd drives
did a clean Install of windows 10 pro 64 bit
i used the media creation tool and made a bootable Windows 10 pro 64 bit USB drive
(it activated fine since i had the win 10 upgrade installed prior and activated and performed no hardware change other then ugradeing my hard drive to an SSD and i skipped putting in a product Key both times when asked for one... windows 10 activated on its own from the MS Authentication servers without issiue )
the win 10 Nvidia default driver sucked and gave me blurred text in windows on my icons on the Desktop (353.62 may have been 353.30)
windows 10 did not find my SB live card so i used the windows 8.1 64 bit driver package
for my card
then windows update kicked in and updated that SB Live card and wanted to upgrade the Nvidia driver ..so i let it update ...
it gave me Nvidia driver 355.60 i got blurry text on my desktop with that driver so i USED DDU (in safe mode) nuked that driver (DDU shut off driver updates for me )
installed nvidia driver 347.52
(i have tried numerous Nvidia drivers)
installed and ran the game fine so far on the following Nvidia Drivers
353.62 >blurred windows text >direct X 12 reported in DX diag >games ran fine
355.60 >blurred windows text >direct X 12 reported in DX diag > games ran fine
355.82 > blurred windows text >direct X 12 reported in DX diag >games ran fine
and right now i'm back to running with Nvidia windows 8.1 64 bit driver version 347.52
(they seem to work just fine with windows 10)
and no blurred windows text on my desktop and my games all run fine
but ... with driver 347.52 my DX diag reports my card as Direct X 11.2
which to me ...does not matter ... as there are NO direct X 12 games out yet
and the 347.52 drivers use a different 3d vision driver so i belive thats where part of the blurry text issiue may lie (on the nvidia side)
i think i solved that burry text on my desktop as i recently found out its also from windows 10 useing a different scaling method then win 7 or 8 and its an issiue Nvidia and Microsoft will have to come out with a fix for
and i found a temp solution for the problem useing a 3rd party app so i'll probably reinstall 353.62 today ..
http://www.tenforums.com/general-discussion/11079-fix-windows-10-blurry-text-windows.html
the latest Nvidia drivers and almost all the ones they have released for windows 10 have many problems it seems from reading on the Nvidia forums 50 plus pages so far ..
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/872991/geforce-drivers/official-windows-10-355-82-game-ready-display-driver-feedback-thread-8-31-15-/
and the forums post numbers for the 355.60 driver problems seem bigger covering 87 pages
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/865284/official-windows-10-355-60-game-ready-display-driver-feedback-thread-8-13-15-/
i did seem to get the best framerates for Far Cry 3 and 4 from the windows 10 353.62 driver package
that was first installed by Microsoft when i did my initial Windows 10 upgrade on my old drive
but on all of the above driver changes i prerformed ...
I USED DDU in safe mode to remove my Nvidia Display drivers and have had 0 crashes in my games
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/?q=node/18
just have to hope MS and Nvidia get together and release better drivers for windows 10 soon
as to my creative labs driver it works fine but in DX diag it does report that the driver is
labeled p17.sys not WHQL logo'd but its working fine
name: p17.sys
version: 5.120001.2016 (English)
date: 4/29/2009
WHQL logo'd : No
Provider :Creative
The file P17.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.
i choose custom install so i never get nag prompts about driver updates or Geforce EXP updates ....and i dont need or use shadowplay or any of that other stuff
just the vid driver
HDMI audio (in case i wanna watch a movie on my 40 inch tv secondary display)
and the PhysX package
