Game crash after loading screen.
Hi everyone!

The game crashes after I click "Play" in uPlay:
I see the stylished Far Cry 3 text on a black background and then get the error. If I click "Problem details" I get something like:
"Far Cry 3 has stopped working"
Problem Event Name:APPCRASH
Application Name:farcry3_d3d11.exe
Application Version:0.1.0.1
Fault Module Name:FC3_d3d11.dll
Fault Module Version: 0.1.0.1
Exception Code:c0000005

My configuration is:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4 GHZ
8 GB DDRIII
Nvidia GTX550Ti (310.64 Driver Version)
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

upd1:
Downloaded the patch 1.0.1 from Ubisoft website and tried to install it - it says "Could not retrieve version number. Installation will be aborted."

Please, let me know if you have any ideas of how to fix it!
Thanks in advance:)

1. verify integrity of the game cache.
2. download the beta nvidia driver, as it has FC3 tweaks.
3. try starting the game in safe mode (click the arrow next to Play), and in the video options switch to directx9.

Verifying the integrity of the game cache got stuck on my system at 10%, freezing the whole pc. Apparently the files were very corrupt. Delete local content and re-download (thank god for broadband internet) might fix the issue.
Hey guys, thanks a lot for you comments!
I tried re-downloading the game and also installing the latest beta driver from Nvidia, but it didn't work.

For me the solution was (it may sound strange, but anyway) - installing Windows 8. I just bought it from Microsoft website, and now everything works fine (even with 306.91 Nvidia driver), the game starts normally.
Maybe, it can help you too - give it a shot, if you have the possibility.
Good luck!

upd1:Launching the game in the safe mode while using Win7 didn't solve the problem for me too.

Try launch game in safe mode (Small button with triangle in right of play button). I have same problem im FC3 and Ghost Recon FS. Both games works on my pc only in safe mode.

Safe mode doesn't fix it to me.
