Rain? When was this added?

I preordered far cry 3 a few weeks before the release and never saw anything about rain, lightning, etc. Even when I did my first playthrough it never rained. Now that i'm on my second playthrough it all of a sudden started storming heavily on the "medusa satellite" mission.

So when was the storming mechanic added?

I've been hoping for a weather mod. The rain adds a much needed change in atmosphere.

It's weird when it happens. Like how the whole screen just flashes and then suddenly the sky's gone from clear to 100% cloud. I wish the transitions were better and I agree with Ratsneve, it's way too short. Then again with the days so short I'm not surprised. It would work so much better if they used the timescale they used for FC2 (every hour in real life was an hour in the game but you could sleep to skip to certain times.)
