[solution]Genuine fix for logging problem with uplay!!

uplay is a cool DRM and not as bad as it is portrayed in this forum by some lazy users.infact,i love its interface, achivement/reward system and twitch tv incorporated after being a hardcore steam user.u guys need to do do some little tweakings and der will be no problem at all.

yes,during steam sale i was so worried buying the game after reading so many negetive comments regarding uplay,though i was playing AC3 in uplay for a long time.am happy that i made the decision of buying then.

step by step guide for launching the game perfectly:-
1.download the game through steam.
2.install and click on play.
3steam will launch uplay.during 1st play uplay will update for some time.
4.after update make a uplay account or use a existing account to login.
*if u face problem in logging in-"uplay login failed:there seems to be a problem with ur internet connectivity"
this error is due to any program interfering with uplay.in my case it was my antivirus.i simply added ubisoft to Kaspersky's Threats exclusion list and it immediately solved the problem.so,dont be lazy and before complaining try blocking softwares that may interfere.
5.uplay will ask for a key to activate farcry.copy and paste the key.my key got accepted instantly.not a single problem.
6.click on play @ uplay and far cry 3 opens.i directly went into a multiplayer match with full players and enjoyed it a lot.
7.from next time onwards whenver u click on play option @ steam.uplay opens but u ll not need it coz game opens up almost simultaneoulsy.

I even tried playing it from my lappy after i played from my pc to find out any probs of reinstalling the game as suggested by many users earlier.believe me or not i just need to recall my id/pass and nothing else..

so my msg to all gamers out der who dint bought the game @ sale coz u felt cool saying-"uplay-no pay!!" :-
farcry 3 is simply a masterpiece from ubisoft and u guys just missed a great deal!!Gl ahead...

ok that all sounds very good, BUT, I can NOT make a uplay acount. I followed all the steps and tried to create a new U Play account and the only message I get when i fill out the info and hit continue is : that username is unavailable. I have now tried many many many differant usernames and they are ALL unavailable. So I am stuck, any suggestions?

thats weird!!
1.try downloading latest uplay client and reinstall.
2.disable/close ur antivirus software during any work on uplay.for me it was the main culprit blocking any thing i do @ uplay.
3.try using ur browser for making an account @ uplay.
4.look for any use of charecter that is required/restricted in making an username @uplay.i think u have to use alphabets as well as numericals for that.
5.make sure ur using a correct mail id.and u never used that mail before making uplay id.

i think something very stupid/petty is going wrong on ur part of making an account.if nothing helps u out of this situation i think u have to contact ubi support.good luck bro!!!

What kind of usernames? Don't tell me something like: Cyber, Master, Hero, Boss, Lord etc, ;)

I suggest one thing. Download the normal uplay client, not that one which is being downloaded by steam to play. Then try to create an account, and try some usernames like CyberPunkbust44 oder something like that. If it's not working, then you should check your firewall or virus scanner, they are often bound to block stuff like that without any reason. Happened to me some times in the past (firewall/virus scanner had completely blocked Call of Juarez for no reason, was not even able to start the application).

The advantage of original uplay is, that you can see ALL your games and not only the one you have just started to play on steam.

Thank you all for your help and/or suggestions. I was eventually able to make a UPlay account ( finally ) so I am off to the jungle to try out this game that I have heard so much about.... :)
