what is the default field of view in far cry 3 ?

I believe it is 60, if you're on a widescreen monitor it would be ideal to set it to 90 though.

The only reason they set it so low is because of consoles. Console players typically sit on a couch many feet away from their TV. At that distance, their view into the game world is only a tiny window on a wall, a peep hole if you will. When gaming on a PC you are typically within 2-3 feet from the screen, and thus it takes up a much greater field of view for you. You should ideally be playing at 90 FOV or higher if you are gaming on a large screen monitor only a few feet away.

Why do u want default FOV OP? Go play console then. PC can't use default of less than 90. Should be standard in the industry. We can put a human on a moon, hell, send a probe to mars, but have major ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to basic idea of FOV. Common knowledge and evolution not to mention countless tests that point to same conclusion. If you sit too close to monitor you get nausia, headaches when starring at the screen with low fov.

I bumped mine to the max, all of the default settings in the game from FOV to the shdows to motion blur all made me literally sick. I had to really mess with the files to get the game satisfactory.
