Far Cry 3: Animal corpses disappearing too quickly :|

I do love Far Cry 3. The only problem i am having with it is the way that corpses disappear so quickly. I was hunting for a Dingo and finally found one! As i started hacking away at the bugger he did a runner and i fired my rifle off. As i walked upto his cold, lifeless corpse a patrol spotted me and started firing. I turned and managed to kill them in around 15 seconds. As i turned around to skin the animal..it had gone :| It was on a flat dirt track so it wouldn't have rolled down the hill or be hidden by shrubbery. this keeps happening and its BLOODY annoying. Are there any mods to help fix this? I've searched around and found nothing linked with my problem.


P.s I run the game on very high (except post processing)
