"You did not use a sniper rifle" WTF?
I'm on the sniper rifle hunt: deer, and even though I am using the sniper rifle provided at the start of the mission, the game keeps announcing "MISSION FAILED: You did not use a sniper rifle."

Except I totally did use a sniper rifle, I used the exact sniper rifle provided at the location of the mission to shoot from inside the nearby deer blind, and while SOMETIMES two or three deer can be felled before this failure occurs... IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE A SNIPER RIFLE. It's something else that the game doesn't know how to report. Can anyone shed any light on what this might be?

Worked this out after several times messing with the mission.

If you shoot a deer and do NOT kill it wiith that one shot, it buggers off and starts racing around like mad.

Trouble is, there are a couple areas where the deer can fall and take damage, which is not enough to kill them UNLESS they are already wounded... which, on this mission, means "you" killed the deer by chasing it off a cliff or something instead of using the sniper rifle.

So all you have to do is take a little extra time aiming and make sure you get headshots.

whats funny about the hunting missions is you dont even need to use the weapon specified......just use your machete. Worked for all 24 for me...

That's hardcore. How did you manage the rare animal ones? Like the Undying Bear and One Horn?

Props on being a bamf. Who needs guns when your machete never runs out of bullets.

On a similar note, if a bunch of Rakyat warriors happen to drive up and shoot the bejeebers our of your "Wanted: Dead" target it counts as successful mission completion.

What really annoys me is that the Rakyat will occasionally just go out in the jungle and start shooting their rifles off in the air, filling the jungle with the chatter of automatic weapons even when there is nothing to shoot. This disturbs the local wildlife, which come to investigate, and then they act all surprised about it. Look, dorkus, you knew we had tigers just outside this base; why are you out on the road making all kinds of noise?
