Using camera to take pictures!
Hey,

in previous versions of Far Cry, when a picture was taken by a camera it was auto-saved (screenshot) to a local drive on playre's PC (usually in My Documents Games folder on Windows) as an image file. Where to find now all those shots, or does FarCry3 ever save them anywhere?

i dont think they are saved, im not 100% sure.
if that is true, it is really bad choice,,, kind of a backward step for Ubisoft...
Or not? Steam saves screenshots globally with F12 (default). You can go to your steam settings and make it whatever key you like.
Edit: And I don't believe there is a camera in Far Cry 2. I haven't played all of Far Cry 1 but I don't remember a screenshot function on the camera.

Trust me, camera was available in both first two versions of the game.
Camera in FC3 is only used to spot targets and take photo's in missions that require a photo. (This info was found in the game.)
Ehhh... I've got ~50 hours in FC2. There's a screenshot key in options and a monocular that you can use while your map is out. No camera here though. You're probably right about the first one. I remember it's like a vacation gone wrong or something.

Oh, I've noticed that when pointing the camera to some locations all markers turn into yellow dots and when you take a picture it comes with a mystical splash sound.

But so far have not experienced such a mission which requires a photo taking, at least there was nothing about it in mission instructions. And what is that for? Where I can read about it?

Start the game, go to options, go to user manual, go to the option for camera...

in case none of you know...the camera can also be used to find the locations of relics. Open your camera and after a second you might see some small white flashes. Zoom in on a white flash and center the camera.....take a pic, and you should now have a GPS lock on the location of a relic. Found that out after trying to figure out why you have white flashes on the camera.

Cool hint, thanx!
