I read through a significant amount of that thread and most of it was talking about initial startup crashes, or overheating, that kind of stuff. I'm not having graphical issues or overheating or anything like that, and the game runs fine almost all of the time. The fixes in that thread didn't make any sense for what my problem is.
I mean if I could get confirmation that my issue is related to the same issues talked about in that thread, then I would go with some of those solutions. However, reading through that thread and on the ubisoft forums, it doesn't sound similar to any of the scenarios they describe.
Crashing in one small geographic location on the island and nowhere else. That's what is happening with me. If that can be solved using one of the solutions posted about in that thread, someone please point me to it. I looked at the list of 6 or so possible solutions and none of them looked relevant. I could DEFINITELY be wrong though.
I do appreciate the help, I wasn't trying to downplay your advice pointing me to that thread, I was more just noting that I had already read it. I try not to be one of those people that ignores major pinned topics on issues before posting my own separate thread.
I think a clean install is necessary if I really want to go to that one tiny island to complete that animal hunting quest. I keep verifying game cache integrity and every single time it downloads a 1.3kb file. It's like it never keeps the file. Could be something as small as code related to that one island. Who knows.
Bah, living in China right now so that takes me a good day and a half to re-download too. What fun.
"I'm sorry but the game is not supported for a mobile graphics card.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused
If you have any further queries or issues please do not hesitate to contact us again and we will assist you further."
I've run the game 20 hours flawlessly on my high end mobile graphics card, and my crash is clearly entirely unrelated to a graphics issue, yet this is their response. I guess they see that there is one thing that is officially unsupported, so even though that isn't causing the problem, they aren't going to bother helping me.
