Uplay is Spyware?
According to the wikipedia :
"Spyware or other malware is sometimes found embedded in programs supplied officially by companies, e.g., downloadable from websites, that appear useful or attractive, but may have, for example, additional hidden tracking functionality that gathers marketing statistics."

So by them tracking our useage in this forcible manor is concitered malware?

Is the act of requireing us to run this crap in the background to run games, a violation of the Steam EULA?

I'm sure Valve and Ubisoft have some agreement to which they allow Uplay to be required for their games, so probably not.

Also EULAs are between a company and user, not between a company and company.

I have a feeling if we push this issue, we can rid this planet of Uplay.

I know I do not want this scumware on my computer.

Your argument won't do anything as Uplay is not definable as spyware. If it was, steam would also be definable as spyware.

Yes, and? Your saying one is spyware because of what it does, which is the exact same thing the other is doing.

It's a part of PC gaming, if you don't like it, buy DRM free games.

no this whole discussion is just silly. if you are using a DRM program (steam) and dont like it, just use GoG and other sites like it. dont ♥♥♥♥♥ about 1 drm when steam is exactly the same thing. btw i wouldn't call this a discussion at all, it was started with a wiki link.

GTF over it OP. Uplay is here to stay. There's nothing wrong with it.
