I use to move to other games after that, but some games like this are special. Literally Far Cry 3 rocketed the franchise, and afterwards all the Far Cry games where FC3 copies, improved or lowered, but FC3 copies after all.
So yeah, maybe not right now (because there is new things to play nowadays) but def FC3 is a pleasure to revisit.
An example is that I had to replay Persona 3 Reload about two extra times to finish the achievements and while I absolutely love the game, I have no intention of going back to it anytime in the near future. Far Cry 3 is similar, I have done it twice on Xbox ages ago and will give it one last send off on Steam.
I usually replay games that are fun, sometimes for achievements or just for fun. I do the same with a lot of other games.
Now i collect the missing ones.
I was hoping for that.. thanks for the info
For some genius reason, the PC version is treated as a different game than the console version so even if you log in to the same Ubisoft account you had to use for the console version, it only counts progress earned on PC. Otherwise I'd have 100% it just from the first launch. It makes sense, of course, but it's still stupid.
Fortunately due to the multiplayer not working at all, you don't have to do the god awful co op achievements, the only difficult ones I was missing. The rest of them are easy. I have 14 to go and I'll be promptly uninstalling it forever after that. At least all the other FC games work correctly.
They got rid of the co op achievements because they deleted the multiplayer. Thankfully. They were the worst achievements in the game not because they were difficult but because the game was fundamentally broken and they were entirely reliant on luck.
For those not aware, the co-op was peer to peer matchmaking and the only way to get credit for a co-op campaign was to be there from the very beginning when the host launched it, survive the entire campaign, and be there until the end when the host closed the game after you completed the campaign. If you joined even a half second in to the intro cutscene, you didn't get credit. If the host disconnected or lagged out, if you lagged out, if you died, no credit. God. Awful. Achievement. Design.
There's a reason so few people have the co op achievements.
