4090/7900X- Absolutely shocking performance.
GPU is at 100% and at max settings- I get 27/30 fps.
Lowering them to all off still only hits about 50/60. Something isn't right with this!
Any with a similar experience?

Do you also get constant freezes? I have a 4070TI RTX and 64GB RAM and the game was fυcking unplayable. You wanna know what the cause was? The fυcking collectibles!! And i dont mean just the relics, letters or memory cards. No, im referring mostly to those fυcking loot chests, because theres sooooo many of them and the more loot chests i collected the less frequent the freezes and fps drops would happen

intel 2500k Geforce 1060 all maxed out but smaa only 2x and runs at 60 fps

i had almost the same as you, means it was running ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with 30 to 40 fps and even after lowering the details it didnt came up.
For me it helped to turn off the ingame VSync and setting the nvidia panel Vsync to "fast" to avoid tearing.
Somehow the ingame Vsync was broken for me, maybe give it a try GL

almost forgot: somehow the game was runnung in borderless window mode and feeling stuttery, changing to fullscreen helped there too

Full screen + V-Synch 1 helped me ^^

7800x3d + 4070Ti Super - About 200-300fps - Ultra 2x MSAA

Set Affinity in task manager, CPU 0,2,4,6,8,10 (Will need to do this after every launch) - this increased my fps from around 80-120 to over 200 consistently.

Use LAA on the Exe - (Large Address Aware)

Run the game in DX11 Mode

Go to documents > my games > far cry 3 > GameProfile.xml (edit with notepad, D3D11MultithreadedRendering="0" ) // You can try using 1, but it causes me to crash after about 10 minutes of playing - Trial and error.

This is all I did for mine, no mods, latest Nvidia Drivers and chipset drivers for my particular cpu.
I had this issue every time i downloaded far cry 3 from steam. I replased original game files with files which i downloaded from Torrent and got constant 60 fps. this worked on 6 friend's PC too.

i've read about problems with the steam version of that game on pcgamingwiki.

since i got the Uplay version, that may be an option

This game runs weird as hell sometimes. My basic Windows 10 Home PC is able to do 30fps @ 1280x768 on a extremely basic AMD CPU/GPU that wasn't built for gaming and yet you guys with 4070s are struggling to do 25 fps

BAD game performance or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Steam porting that also includes games such as Metal Slug 3, Indiana Jones And The Emperor's Tomb, Fallout New Vegas, No Man's Sky, Far Cry 6, King Of Fighters XIII Rollback Netcoded and a couple others that im too tired to think on the back of my head. Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA Trilogy were already a catastrophe on their own so i didnt mention those.

ALSO bad game performance is not afflicted to EVERYONE who plays the game. Its a % or a majority of the games' players.
i had terrible performance until i lowered the water setting to medium.
now it runs silky smooth with everything on very high.

let me know if it helps!
Why can't people figure out the basic things? When you play old games, by default you need to set 60 fps lock and limit the number of cores/threads. The engines of that time were designed precisely for such characteristics. Windows XP/Vista are too far from Windows 10/11 (Compatibility Options). For example, no one knows how a UE3 game will behave at 144 or 240 Hertz. Far Cry 3 is a perfectly optimized game

This worked perfectly thanks.

Dunno what your nerd rage is all about. As above, the LAA now gets me 4k max settings 144 fps. Nothing to do with multi-threads. That ok?

Well i didnt do any of this to fix my issues so id say its a -1🤣😌
So I used LAA on the exe,set Affinity in Process Lasso, run dx11, and D3D11MultithreadedRendering="0" ect and my frames are really high now but the game stutters pretty badly when running around.
