Yes, I downloaded those and still doesn't work.
Thank you for trying to help tho!
It seems like there's a different solution for everyone. For me as example it also didn't work launching from Ubisoft.
I love PC gaming, but sometimes it's such a pain to get an older game running.
It's a reason of why I cannot play it anymore as I do not cripple my system just for being able to run ONE SPECIFIC game.

Yeah that's why I keep my Xbox around. Sometimes I don't want to deal with time consuming troubleshooting or Epic Game Store exclusivity. Just give me a working game and let me play FFS.
Far Cry 3 was worth taking the time to troubleshoot though. I'm having a blast with it at max settings and high framerate. Can't believe the re-released version on Xbox is capped at 30fps. No thanks.
for the console version as the newer X box 1 and PS4 now have a decent GPU
as back then in 2012 the gpu in those old consoles .. well .. SUCKED
(Xbox 360 an the PS3 had a pretty weak GPU unit for FAR CRY games )
you have to remember far cry 3 development started over 10 yrs ago
(around 2010)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_Cry_3
and now they have no dev team / or budget / to try to rehash a game that shipped with only Win XP support ..things have changed in the past 13 yrs ..especially with hardware/ as well as net code ,,when FC 3 shipped it ran on a dual core CPU for gods sake ..and a quad core was a rich mans CPU ..let alone a vid card that had a gig of ram on it
so yea on a newer system you may need to tinker with it a bit, as its an older game that no longer has patches or support for future development
all they did was update the graphics to more make the game to look like the original did for PC users, as PC always had better gpu options and better graphics
PC users never got far cry 3 classic edition
PC users if they bought the far cry season pass were givin the same version that was always available of the far cry 3 deluxe edition
as of OCT 2022 the game on PC lost server support as well as access to the DLC , if they had not already had it installed
if your on PC you should not be locked at 30 FPS .. my game runs much faster then that
but yes some cut-scenes will remain at 60 FPS
i do not own or use any console ..just a PC for me , thank god
Hey guys,
Apologies for the delay and thank you for the advice you've shared here already!
How are you getting on here Tsukino Mito?
- Ubisoft Support
It's working well with my solution. I still can't get Far Cry 2 to launch tho, but it was more important to me to get this one running.
Hey Tsukino Mito,
Thanks for the update, I'm sorry to hear you're not having any luck with Far Cry 2.
Have you given all of the above steps a try with that game already too?
And does Dzert14's advice help at all?
