Why do I always need to enter my password to play?
I played this game a few years ago, and don't remember this happening, but now, it happens every time I want to play.

I need to enter my Ubisoft password every time I open the game, and usually, it opens in windowed mode.

Is there a way to make the password 'stick' so I don't need to keep writing my password every time, and also open the game in borderless mode?

I had the same problem

its because the game is so old
the net code changed when they updated to UBI connect (formerly called uplay ) it needs older legacy titles to log in with a user name and password

same is true with quite a few of their older titles

remember when this game shipped it had windows XP support and ran on a dual core CPU ..yes its that OLD

to get the older games to work .... now , yes you need to log in ..

This is an issue for many legacy Ubisoft games after they changed their launcher from Uplay to Ubisoft Connect. After browsing through many posts online, I found a solution that has worked for me. Hopefully this works for you.

Step 1: Turn off WiFi/Disconnect from your network
Step 2: Start the game (in this case Far Cry 3)
Step 3: Ubisoft Connect will prompt you to switch to offline mode. Switch to offline mode.
Step 4: The game won't launch in offline mode. Close Ubisoft Connect.
Step 5: Turn on WiFi/Connect to your network
Step 6: Launch the game. From now on, Ubisoft Connect won't keep asking you to re-enter your password.
