Y do I have to have Ubisoft connect in order to play the damn game?

Buying any modern Ubisoft title requires it. 'Ubisoft Connect' (I wish they'd never changed the name) is kinda like Steam; a game library, achievement source, online shop and with social/online functions. Use it as such, or ignore it altogether. It is what it is.

So then let me ask again, but alittle more specifically this time. Y do we NEED to have Ubisoft Connect to play Farcry 3 on Steam???

I would understand if it was for multiplayer purposes, but its mandatory to install just to boot the damn game. Wasted an hour downloading the thing just to be met with that hot garbage. Can't even play it now.

because ubisoft is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company and is trying to keep whatever foothold they can in the gaming industry after everyone boycotted them for their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ actions lmao, they're so lucky to own a few decent games to still be allowed to exist

Like I said previously, that's simply Ubisoft's requirement to play their games. As is stated on the Steam store page of this game (You know, that part that says: Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Connect launcher (Supports Linking to Steam Account)). So, you'll know what you are getting into when buying this game on Steam.

Weird, don't know what the problem is here. Shouldn't be a big deal to get it to work, really. You've created and got an account on Steam in working order, works the same for/on Ubisoft's platform.
