Low FPS.
Hello. I need some help. I recently bought Far Cry 3 and played it briefly, but I could not continue due to the game's low fps. The strange thing is, my computer is not bad. At all, actually. I've played several other fps games on this computer with high settings and never encountered any problems. But I can only get around 40~50 fps even when i set all the graphical options to 'normal' when I play this game. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thank you in advance.

Hi!

Bought this recently as well and decided to tried it out today. I've never reach past 12 fps in-game. I made sure to check if my PC met the requirements before buying the game but it wasn't enough I guess. Seriously considering getting a refund.

According to all the discussions I've seen, we aren't the only ones.

Good luck!

Hi!

I have an AMD Radeon HD 5450, if the game's page on the store is up-to-date, that should run the game.

Anyway, set Uplay to run offline like they advised on some discussions and now the audio and the video are in sync at least :D Yay? Made the game more enjoyable and I guess I'll play a bit more to see if the framerate drops again.

Cheers!

well thats a pretty low end GPU so don' t expect miracles

but you can always try to install Razer cortex ..it may help you out it does indeed work on my older PC that only has an AMD 5770 card installed in it as well as helps on my Windows 10 machine with a GTX 960

you do have to register an account with Razer coretex but i never got any Spam e mail at all from them

what it does is shuts down several windows services that are not needed why you game .. thus freeing up more ram for your game to use

when you exit the game and Razer cortex it'll reload those windows services

its free to download and use .. you just need to register your email account and make a password up for it .. i suggest you use the same one you use for your other accounts or write down your account info and store it in a safe place if you want to ever nned to install it again

you can get razer cortex here http://www.razerzone.com/cortex

you should think about buying a better video card for your PC if you want good FPS in modern games ..the AMD HD 5450 is the lowest end Direct X 11 GPU AMD ever made
you can see that here http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video.htm

so as i said ......do not expect miracles as even my old direct X 10 Nvidia 9800 GT card
was and is ...... way faster then the GPU you currently have installed

and you do need a better gpu TO PLAY FAR CRY 3

Well if you enable all the stuff and play on High/Ultra,. you will need a GTX 970 actually and a good i5, 8GB or 16GB of RAM. You should get more fps with this config though. What is your config? You should not play this game below a GTX 960 actually, or you can but medium-low settings recommended. Even on 960 you cant really go to high, unless you like to play 40-60fps average.
