Crash on launch/at splash screen

Own Far Cry 3 directly through Ubisoft Connect. When I launch it though, it never gets past splash screen. Have not been able to find fixes regarding my issue. Any help appreciated!

running ubisoft connect while in offline mode did not help ?
how about running the game from the game exe directly farcry3_d3d11.exe or farcry3.exe ?
also if you have a CPU with core and thread more than 4 then limit the game to only use 4 core 4/8 thread from such task manager or similiar task manager app
try also deleting/reset your config in Documents\My Games\Far Cry 3 , GamerProfile.xml , backup this folder first incase if this is not the culprit

Directly running does not work, same issue
Limiting to four cores causes instant crash
config doesn't exist as game never launches to create file, so can't even attempt that solution as I've checked

how about running the game as administrator ?
try also give a tick in both game exe properties in "Disable Fullscreen Optimization"
if still check in event viewer app, is there any error log about the game in there

damn lol, it dont need this https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/ as the one during game installation is also installing the one used by the game but who knows maybe missing or corrupt but yeah, that seem what i know for any this possibility

oh bro this same error is happening to me too. I downloaded it because of the promotion, but I never thought I would have problems with it :(

have you tired disabling the UConnect in game overlay? i remember not being to load Titanfall and that ended up being the reason, after trying every.other.thing.imaginable
