There is a solution!
it has been figured out that TabletInputService forces FarCry3.exe to crash, when enabled. To solve the crash problem:
1) Open Task Manager
2) Go to Services
3) Identify TabletInputService (Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service)
4) Stop the service
5) Launch FarCry3
Service could be re-enabled, when you're done.
Enjoy!
runs perfect as well on my laptop with Win 10 home
disable tablet services yet ?
press windows Key + x
open task manager
open the services tab
click name in the upper right to put them in aphabetic order
look for handwriting and tablet input service .. stop the service
right clik on it and select stop
then if you need touch screen services after you are done playing the game do the same thing except select start the service
not sure if i named the service correctly as mine does not have that service .. i already killed it by opening
action center
open all settings
open system
select tablet mode
move both sliders to the Left
under options there i see
when i sign in - always remember what i used last
when this device automatically switches to tablet mode
is set to always ask before switching
my PC does not have any touch screen installed so i shut that all off months ago when i did my initial Windows 10 Pro installation
other people use this method
1) Open task manager
2) Go to "Details" tab
3) Stop TabTip.exe
also try launching both Steam as well as Uplay as run as Administrator
SHADOW PLAY in geforce experience if you installed that along with your video Drivers
i never install that geforce exp bloatware ...
i stayed clear of the newer drivers ever since the bugs i had with 361,75
it was detecting my ASUS Srtix GTX 960 as a removable USB device , and many reported the shadow play bug was causing several games to fail to launch
Nvidia admitted the shadow play bug was a problem in the driver set in both 361,75 as well as 361,91
and said it would not be fixed until the next Major driver branch
see these posts on the Nvidia forums

the 361,75 drivers also and all drivers past that point keep installing Nvidia backend on my windows 10 install even if i choose not to install Gefroce Experience or any other Nvidia software ....plus it installed Nvidia optimus software on my desktop system .. ??
optimus is only used on laptop systems to switch between an onboard intel HD video chip to an Nvidia GPU .. my quad core CPU does not have ANY intel HD vid chip on it ..so that was another bug in that driver set i guess ??
the next driver they released was 362,00 but that even said in the release notes .. there were no fixed issiues in the drivers for Windows 7 , 8 or 10
plus many people have reported alot of problems with the current Nvidia driver version 364.51
see
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/921332/geforce-drivers/official-364-51-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-3-10-16-updated/
and 364.47 was so bad they had to pull the driver set as it was damaging peoples systems
so i'll wait to see what Driver ASUS posts for my card ..right now they only have the 359.06 drivers posted .. and its kinda weird since they waited till febuary 2016 to even post that driver
Nvidia released that driver version in December 2015 .. but the Nvidia driver package is a smaller version then the one on the ASUS website..which is also very odd...
Geforce experience is still a beta program and the few times i tried it ..it did set my games up wrong anyway ..so i never install it ..dunno why they keep pushing that with every driver version ..i always do a custom install and Never install that or any of the Nvidia 3 d vision software
to use the 3d vision you need a supported 3d monitor as well and the Nvidia 3d vision glasses and Kit.
i own none of that ... so i never install it
i choose custom install and only install
the video driver and control panel
HDMI audio - in case i want to watch a movie on my 40 inch HDTV online
and Nvidia physX
the rest i uncheck .. then choose perform a clean install
and i always use DDU in safe mode to wipe my previous drivers ..before i install or try a new one
so for now i'm sticking to the last Driver ASUS has posted for my GPU since i have a factory overclocked card ..version 359.06 works fine for me .. even for Far Cry Primal and all my other games
plus the ASUS version of that driver (359.06) is a different file size then the one Nvidia released last december
