Go here for mods: Nexus Far Cry 3 Mods [www.nexusmods.com]. You will need to register a Nexus account (both free and premium are available) to download the mods, but the mod authors give detailed descriptions on how to install them in their descriptions on the site.

It's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that you need to create account to that page in order to get the mods. It feels like you are being monitored and that you are forced to pay from them.

In the .rar folder you downloaded there is a readme.txt file that explains to backup patch.dat and patch.fat in the FarCry3/data_win32 folder to a different folder before copying the modded patch.dat and patch.fat files from the folder you downloaded to the FarCry3/data_win32 folder. You can open .rar files with either 7Zip (recommend) or WinRAR.

@DD-Indeed
I have used Nexus for a while and it seems fair in regards to offering a large collection of mods for multiple games. The only difference between the free and premium account is mostly faster download servers, otherwise no mod is behind a paywall.

Yeah, well, I don't wanna register to every single place there is, so I moved on. Mods are concidered as free addons to the game, so why would you need to register to get them ?

Well, Nexus is just one option to find mods, like for this game. You can use ModDB, you do not have to register to download: Here
