Where To Download Uplay ?
UPlay decides to act up. So I decide to uninstall and reinstall. I uninstall, but I can't find a location to download the installer. I searched, and I find all kinds of pages where Ubisoft pats themselves on the back and exclaims how Uplay is it is, and I how I can use it on all my devices, including toasters. But #&*r98 I can find the installer for download.

Can somebody post a link and save me from losing my mind?

Thanks for any help.

Thank you for the reply . . .

I was at that site - it is the Uplay site (I can logon in, but I can't find a way to launch my games), but not Uplay iteslf. The orange download tab in the upper right leads to another page that offers Uplay experiences across a bunch of platforms, except for PC. I cannot locate an installer for the PC version. Either I am being dumb (which is entirely possible) or this truly is a stupid model by Ubisoft (which is also possible).

So, as it stands, I have about 4 games I can't play because I don't have Uplay. I can start them to reinstall Uplay, because, well, they won't start! I can't locate Uplay to download and launch either. What a conundrum.

I don't want to uninstall a game and reinstall a game just so I can be prompted to install Uplay. Any other suggestions?

Go to this folder "...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\Far cry 3\Support\Gamelauncher". In there you should find the installer/downloader that Steam used to download and install Uplay when it installed the game. Run it and let it update.

EDIT: I had no trouble finding the installer through that orange tab on the site. It takes you down the page and there's a link to "Dowload Uplay on PC". Here it is anyway:

http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/launcher_installer/UplayInstaller.exe

It's more up to date than the one in your game folder.

if you scroll to the bottom of the page it still has a download link that says

even if you are logged in ..........please look again ..once again... please learn how to read a webpage

I'm going to necropost this, because this is a real thing. the uplay website source lacks any reference to download (which I've compared to other versions of the website my friend had) It's like the uplay website failed to include the download link for some reason. It persists between different browsers too, with all extensions disabled. I don't know what is going on, but I had to go to a 3rd party website to download uplay.
Ubisoft is doing something very strange. Perhaps blacklisted IP addresses?

Don't know what browser you use, but a search for U-play on Windows browser and Opera got the same 2 hit's (both 1. on the suggested list):

Can't be hard to find the download link.

Had this problem today, and it turns out that the issue isn't that some users are blind; it's that they don't use their browsers in full screen.

The Uplay website only shows the download link at full resolution. If you don't like your browser to take up the full screen, it just plain doesn't show up.

Thought I was going crazy, especially with people in this thread insisting that it was impossible to miss. And it is - but only if your browser is above a certain size.

This exactly, if you do not have the web page maximized, the download link does not appear. Just tested it myself.
