Why does Dr. Earnhardt call Daisy Agnes?

On a replay of the story, I realized that Dr. Earnhardt calls Daisy Agnes when she asks him to let the rest of her friends stay at his house. Earnhardt responds by saying, "Agnes, how can I refuse you. Of course the others can stay." I feel like that's a bit creepy and something that an insane person would say, but that seems right up Dr. Earnhardt's alley. Is Agnes some part of his lore? Is Agnes his deceased wife, daughter, sister, mistress?

It says in Dr. Earnhardt bio, Agnes was the name of his daughter, but she died when she fell from their apartment building or something.
