Ya? I just played it again last week and it snapped me outta one hell of a funk.
But.. have you found ALL 221 Diamond Cases???
- At the time I finished FC 2 I had nothing else better to play for a long time, so I just loaded
up a save that was right before the 'Prison "Point of No Return mission'. and went back to
the northern map and working my way from the north east corner cleared all of the main
mission objective sites over again. Eventually got every single case and ended up with all
the equipment I could want and over 700 diamonds to spare. - I only stopped playing when
3 came out - but not permanently... 8 D
So, I take it you're on diving head first into FC3?
save slots - you can save and load instantly any time and any where.
- That's god mode.
In this game it's very important to hit that save key every few minutes - and after
a while you MAY need to delete old saves.. but you can't get through the game
comfortably without using that ability often- just before and after every successful
engagement.
Here's the deal - you get killed a couple, mebby three times, mebby occasdionally 4.
I STILL get frustrated, but I take a few beatings and I eventually learn to anticipate
their actions and find out the tactics to survive regularly - and eventually -> handely.
I had BIG probs at the very beginning (20 hrs or so) travel was the worst!
I learned it was easier to go on foot and just from doing it enough times - now
I can go anywhere with impunity and I actually look forward to chosing and planning
which conflicts to engage in and which to avoid - (Can't really DO that when you've
got this big visable vehicle that you have to ""protect"" - and end UP getting in
every possible conflict just going from point A to point B)
Doesn't mean that driving is useless - it's just a much different game if you
learn which areas to avoid and how to navigate with enough precision to be
able to drive and chose your conflicts.
There are many checkpoints where it's quite feasable run the gauntlet with
minimal damage to completely unscathed. and a few of course where that
is highly unlikely to nearly impossible.
The stupid mylaria thing -
There are a few places in the script where you have an infinate supply of pills as long
as you don't do the next 'story mission.
At that point the game has the most potential and becomes under your control because
you're free to plan and execute all the missions with different approaches and tactics.
- At those points in the game you have free run to play the game in any order
you want at your leasure. can even change plans on the fly.
(Why have a canned-mission game that is so similar in experience to everyone elses
when you can make it your own..?) and you won't have to do any more stupid pill
missions.
Make sense?
When you have the pills the attacks become little more than a mild nuiscance.
You just wait untill right after attacks to make your attacks. <g>
But - I know you're on to bigger and better things right now !8 D
So.. howz that F C 3 lookin? <VBG>
