make sure your PCI e slot is set to Gen 3

i do not own your motherboard man .. your gonna have to look it up in your motherboard manual
also make sure you plugged into your 1060 not your motherboard vid output
you have a laptop right ? the chip in your PC is 25% slower then the PLAIN i 7 7700 desktop CPU if you have the i7 7700 HQ
(an i 7 7700 K is clocked @ 4.2 Ghz..the i7 7700 HQ is clocked @ 2.8 )
if thats the case use vid drivers only from your laptop makers site , and then you'll have a mobile GTX 1060 vid card in that laptop too right ?
they are also clocked lower then the Desktop variants of the GTX 1060 vid cards
remember using nividia reference drivers is not even reccomended by Nvidia on many laptops , they even post a warning on their driver site
it says
As part of the NVIDIA Notebook Driver Program, this is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.
and yes use of non oem drivers can cause warranty problems if the driver damages your laptop or screen and yea i saw it happen to one of my customers .. a reference driver screwed up the edid info for his notebook screen and rendered the laptop unuseable .
BUT the good news is YES you should be able to run the game on the ultra preset in 1080 P i would think
runs in Ultra on my old desktop system with a old core 2 quad and a GTX 960 2 gig GPU ..on old DDR 2 ram Avg about 90 FPS
try installing razer cortex and see if it helps on your laptop
Razer Cortex game booster version 7.0 as it does seem to help with this game
http://www.filehorse.com/download-game-booster/old-versions/
*(note newer versions of cortex do not seen to work as well , at least for me so i stick with 7.0 )
many say its bunk software ..but it works great here to give me more FPS in all my games
even on my old crappy AMD lenovo laptop too
another suggestion is watch your temps you may be thermal throttling ..get a decent laptop cooling pad under your laptop ..they do help alot to stop thermal throttling
laptops heat the hell up ..even nice expensive MSI ones ..and hot chips may slow down
for thermal protection , set your power manaments settings also to perfer max performance in both windows as well as your Nvidia control panel
normal setting = balaned or optimized .. this will result in lower clock speeds
you want max performance and also always keep your laptop plugged in why ya play
they get power right from a USB port on your laptop ..best $40 i ever spent on my lenovo laptop (post purchase)
setting it to Gen 3 helped his FPS for all games in his steam libarary .. he had the desktop version of the 7700 K tho .. so thats what i thought ya had
i forget what motherboard he said he had ..think it was an MSI one \ or a gigabyte
MSAA is killing fps in FC3 ( and any game ) for those with borderline hardware like op. I gained 20 fps by setting it off , AMD FX-6300 3.5 GhZ, Geforce gtx960
