Report a translation problem
If it doesn't move, let go of W, move the pick, try again.
if it moves partway and sticks, you're closer, adjust the pick location and try again.
Eventually you'll find the right spot. There's a tutorial, but the tutorial only pops up AFTER the first lock (a bug, soon to be fixed)
Hold down left mouse button to try unlocking, the amount the lock turns indicates how close the pick is to the correct location.
Adjust the left/right position of the pick & try again, if it rotates further you're closer, if it moves less you're further away.

As has been stated above it's similar to lock picking in other games so tutorials on those may help.
Instructions:
Use left-right to pick an angle for the keyhole. Hold down W or the left mouse button.
If the pick doesn't move much your angle is not near the correct angle. As you get closer and closer to the correct angle, the pick moves further.
If the lock didn't open, release W, and try a different angle.
