Just terrible. Money grab?
Oh, what a surprise! The DLC for this game seems to have completely bypassed the QA department...again. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they just took the developers' word for it, which clearly was a bad idea.

The level design? Lazy doesn't even begin to describe it. Imagine this: floors, floors, and more floors, each one more uninspired than the last, littered with the same recycled junk for you to pick up. No electricity, no steam pipes—just endless drudgery. They did try to spice things up with safes, but guess what? They're filled with change you can't even use because, oh wait, there's nowhere to spend it! Blueprints? Upgrades? Nah, not here. Even after 3 DLCs.

And bugs? Oh, we've got bugs galore! The connector designs for floors with rounded walls are a masterclass in how to make everything look like it's floating in space. It's like they've been perfecting this art since the game's inception. And of course the repetitive issue of hidden and unreachable connectors.

This whole DLC screams "pre-holiday cash grab!" The developers must have sprinted out the door, laughing all the way to the bank, knowing full well they left us with a buggy mess. And that winch bug on the last ship? Still there, proving once and for all that no one bothered to play through the level to the end. They couldn't even muster the energy for a tiny patch to fix it so players could complete the entire ship. Don't think I'll be buying anymore DLCs going forward.

Couldn't agree more. I loved the game from day 1 and spent a lot of time in it. But it's become apparent that the devs have dropped the last few updates with one thing in mind...profit over playability.

But do you know better? You have a lot of opinions and that's about it.

I mean... it's a game about tearing down derelict ships.

Besides the player house, which is admittedly dumb... but there's bombs and mobile skips. As for "change", the largest one I found was $1000, which is more than most contract payouts. Even on average, I routinely find safes holding hundreds. What upgrade would you be after? Plasma lances to cut the ship in half from the ground? A mech-suit so you can winch segments free by hand? Steam-proof gloves for all the steam work you want to do on derelict ships that should have neither steam nor power left in them anyways?

Cash grab? Did it not add new content? Are they not new ships? Something can be not to your liking without being a "cash grab". As for the developers running to the bank... I dunno man, I think you may not know how developer groups are organized, or who gets the payouts.
It is uninspired and full of bugs. I am a bit disappointed.

I totally agree with the analysis of the author of this thread, Riotact81 (well fomulated)!
Only repetive, dull hammering of wall and floor segments, no "challenges" in form of steam or radioactivity, semi-hidden seams and the well-known bugs which seems to be a inherent feature of this game series (remembers me of a famous operating systems for PCs).
Of the new features the combinded wall sections and cranable stairs are nice, the new crate types are boring and the sheer amount of locked safes is annoying.
In my opinion a definitly wasted potential of a good game idea.
I'm truly disappointed ...
the dev has had worse luck with weekly updates and has started taking time to fix issues that have broke stuff back and forth a bit more. still this dlc was a lot better at fewer bugs at release than subs and big ships.

the issue with the dlc i find the harshest is having to lower frame rate limit to 30 fps just to prevent the fatal error crash involving the physics engine that is tied to frame rate (the more frames you got the crazier the truck flies when you hit a bump) when you brake a large amount of items.

i also fond the dlc to be boring at about the same level to big ships but with no new hazards.
i will say yo are able to finish all the contracts on all 3 ships and find all 3 collectibles. you just can't potentially tear down the 3rd ship complacently in the pack due to a bug wit a side panel tho i did get bored had all the contracts and collectible tuned in contracts and scraped the ship.
There was far too much work put into each DLC to call any of them "money grabs".
For the entertainment p/h to $ ratio, it is certainly a bargain as opposed to a cash grab, when compared with prices of some of the irl entertainment...imho
It's a mid budget game. I don't think they could even afford a QA department even if they wanted one. A cash grab it isn't. The devs actually respond to issues. (On the discord that is.)

I believe they use QA Larpers (volunteers) instead of pad QA staff. Even so, any bugs were probably reported. Just not fixed. Like far too many indie devs, they seem to enjoy making "levels" but not the boring work of fixing bugs.
Phew, thanks for this post...I avoided buying this game now!
Cash grab is a bit too harsh. Yes, there are bugs, but they usually fix those. My complaint is about the new ships being only parts of ships. That was very disappointing.

So they are putting out DLC's before they even fix he main game. Typical money grab, Just don't buy the DLC's
