Can't winch some walls off on Submarines DLC - connectors issue?
The Submarine DLC seems to have introduced a very annoying bug which I wasn't experiencing before. I have no idea if this now happens for all of the ships, or just the DLC, but it's happened on every one of the submarines so far.

So basically, sometimes I'll free up a wall/ceiling section to be winched off, and it won't pop free, erroneously claiming that there are still connectors attached. (And no, it's not just me being a moron, the first time this happened on the I400 I picked the rest of the entire submarine clean and the affected walls still wouldn't pop.)

This seems to happen if the last connector to be destroyed is a blue one - doesn't happen every time, but it's been at least once on every sub. Every time I've left the red connectors as the last to be destroyed, it has popped free just fine. This is also how I usually fix the problem - reload a previous save and redo the section, making sure to do the red connectors last - but sometimes that's a fair bit of progress lost. On I400 I just had to redo the entire ship.

Has this been happening to anyone else, or is it some magic jank that just affects my exact setup?

Yes, i have this bug on the biggest submarine (didnt played the other yet). I cant whinch off some hull parts. Som whinched hull parts cant be taken by the crane.. "not all connectors are destroyed".

ive finished all the subs scrapping them down completely, only the mid size one gave me alot of issues where i couldnt hammer some spots or couldnt figure out how to get the hull to split open without destroying a few bigger items, but tnt can bust the walls you cant hammer and even if you destroy a few of the big machines you can still finish all the contracts

One can scrap a submarine completely without loosing anything. The important part is to remove floor and wall tiles directly connected to the hull. This might leave some bigger parts (e.g. palletes) hanging halfway in the air, but that is totally fine as long as you do not touch the remaining tiles underneath the pallete or machine or what have you.

Pro tip: go to the winch, aim for the hull and try to pull it. It will mark the tiles neccessary to be removed for you. Then go and bonk out only – and only – these tiles.

But I have to say: I don't like the submarine addon at all. It is not fun, it is just annoying. Especially the radioactive stuff is just overdone.

This doesnt work on the parts which cant be winched.

Then it is a floor hull, just work through the stuff from top to bottom until only the floor hull parts are left and call the crane to lift it off.

The question in the thread is how to winch off the top hull tiles!

I wonder if the problem with the winch could be because I used TNT on some walls connected to that part.

There is another bug. I completed the first 2 contracts and suddenly the aluminium counter from the third contracts dropped from 3.000kg to 1.959kg.

This doesn't work because the red hook markers appear on my character, not on the hull section. I'm pretty sure this whole issue is a bug. There's a new patch downloading rn so I'll see if it fixes anything for me.

having the same issue

Same Problem here. Middle of Ohio, after the missile section. Hook markers appear on my character, every connecting part is destroyed. There are two what looks like weld marker inside the hull, only a few pixel are visible, the rest is in the hull and they can't be cut.

I had this issue on the Kursk sub and now I’m working on a Pobeda and having the same problem. Really frustrating. All connectors and floors are gone, and when I try to winch it shows the red connector symbol completely off the map, not anywhere near the ship at all.

Same ♥♥♥♥ here, I´m waiting a few months and hopefully they have fixed it
