To pick up the item, assuming you have a glove upgrade, find another item nearby, then pick an angle where you can see both items and pick up the other item.
Hence why I said "many items" and not all items. That trick works if there are other objects nearby, but not always. I now have about 20 items laying around that can't be picked up because they're laying flat and no other object is nearby. I now get to sit and wait for another update before I can pick up all the items again. My post was meant to warn folks that the 1.03 update will make for more frustrations than it fixed.
This was normal. The update actually sped up a few of the tools, but not by a lot that I can tell. As you go up in difficulty on ships, it pretty much cuts the tool speed by about 66%. I started at the first ship and worked my way up one by one, and now I'm on the last ship and the I'm one-hitting the tools again.
Check if you as a part are connected to a hard point
- if not check if any of your neighbors is connected to a hard point
- let the neighbors check that as well
- if no piece is connectec to a hard point: Collapse
