As the name says - during my playthrough I like to destroy the walls and supports with the expectation that the ceiling will collapse as well.

However, that's not the case - often enough there's absolutely nothing attached anywhere close to the ceiling/floor tiles and they're happily floating above me. The only way to tear them down is to break out the saw and cut the supports and manually dismantle them. Painful.

This issue of supports not collapsing and just floating seems to be more present on edge pieces. Non edge pieces seem to fall just fine.

Yeah. Once the more serious bugs are fixed, the ships need a final pass. There are also occasional connectors which connect things to air.

That's strange because after the latest patch the collapsing is back to normal now for me. Nothing hanging in the air anymore.

Has anyone come up with a work around...like a shotgun? I am on a level three ship (with all the pipes) and a great many girders are hanging in the air. I believe they are blocking the crane.
I was hoping they would eventually cascade down but no luck and now some are too far up to reach with the saw. Am I going to have to scrap this ship uncompleted and chalk it up to lesson learned or is their a work around? (I have tried using a level 6 rope to reach a girder...no luck

I hear you, I just had a few panels left in the air myself again, with rope you have to sling to a ceiling so no luck with just a wall in the air.
