Sort only when you need the money, or when you're finished with the ship.
Place lever in position 4 yellow. There are hardly any of these. Hold down boost until the end. You will probably get no bonus. Choose to sort again.
Place lever in position 3 green. A few more of these. Hold down boost until the end.
Place lever in position 1 blue. More of these. Hold down boost until the end.
Place lever in position 2 red. Everything left is red. Hold down boost until the end.
This gives you some bonus for minimum effort.
Better don't care about the bonus and do red first, which will speed up subsequent sorts by a lot.
@OP: i too fully support skipping the minigame. Maybe introduce a 50% material penalty for skipping (like paying somebody to do it for you).
As to why the materials on the ship are so worthless: This game tells the same story as Hardspace Shipbreaker did: Shipbreaking in India is a very dangerous job (physical injurys, toxins from materials, and so on) and pays very little in comparison what we earn in the west. Go watch a documentary on the topic, at least for me it was very interesting to see the conditions on that job.
i would sort out the red first as thats the most common, you could then sort out the blue next or spend a little time for those few things left to sort propperly. yes might get less bonus this way but run it 4 tumes with the most common material sorted out last still takes alot of time.
and yes i want a worker to do that for me, he can take my bonus as his pay and he could work slower then me but i can spend my time getting more wile he sorts out the stuff i just dump in there.
Don't mind if a 'skip sorting' option is adding but think the scrapyard should take 10% of the goods as payment for doing the sorting for you.
