This is how I was able to vertical slice off just that wall section in one motion.
As I was stuck on getting the cargo out, I looked into that side entirely.
One you separate from the rest of connecting ship inc floor plates (step 1 in pic) I let the weight of it collapse on itself from the lower walls (step2)

Also sorry it wasted you day mate. I have had that happen to me in numerous games and it sucks. Generally I move on but sometimes it is worth coming back for another chance. I had an awful time with Mount & Blade Warband when first tried it. A few months later I determined would stick it out for a few more hours trying.. and it turned out to be one of the best games I have played.
i see the auto-save doesn't seem to work as intended. and i accidentally hit quick-save on the controller trying to get to the menu. soonest save i have from before is the one from this morning. at least this time it was AFTER i got the contracts done.
thanks for getting a step closer devs, the auto-save has helped me already a few times, so the game is on the right track. if i had to make a guess (since i often play this between calls as i work from home, hence why it takes all day to do one ship) the auto-save seems to make one save slot per game session and just overrides that when saving. not sure if that's intended.
